- Got the motor built and installed. One minor setback but IT RUNS!!! Small issue with the carb, but I will get that sorted and this one will be on its way!

I installed the e-shaft backwards on the first engine I built.
It was also a 79 with R5 housings.
You are a good man to publish your mistakes, I would probably have edited that out.

Mistakes are good. That is one of the best ways to learn.
Best part about an engine rebuild is the exhaust cloud during the first start from the grease on the corner seals.

I had to drag start my first build. S5 13b turbo bridgeport. I used way too much grease and plugged the sparkplug holes.
Haha gotta keep the grease off the apex seals!

The cars and engines and the build is nice.I don't like rtv.Use Vaseline or hylomar.And hylomar on the dowel o rings.And I don't like the music.lol.put some classic rock at a lower volume and chew some gum.U will feel a better satisfaction of ur creations and ur self😇😁👍

RAD Potential I have a question if your able to answer? I have a 1980 sa. When I release the clutch it has a slight grind. Grinds more in second and fourth. The grind is a lot more with the choke pulled out waiting to warm up. and goes always when up to speed.

Great channel. But like a lot of American rotary guys. Everything is rough and unimpressive. Don't get me wrong. I like what your doing and your knowledge. But I would like to see a clean engine and engine bay that shows off to work put into it. Even when the car isn't super impressive. Anyway that's just my thoughts.
Go back and look at my FC build, and the blue repu build on here. Full engine bay restorations. Some projects get the work, some dont. The hard part here is that rotary owners are broke and dont want to pay for a "complete" bay restoration on a 3500 dollar car
