- You're a Kid! You're a Squid! You're Toad! You're Yarn! You're Non-Yarn! welcome to the (fan requested) follow up to yesterday regular Smash Bros line-up Amiibos yarn Yoshi's patterns. In this video I try out the Inkling Amiibos (girl, boy, squid) followed by Mario Party Amiibos (including Toad, all the other are the same as regular Amiibos) and after that I tackle Level 1-1 with wings so you can see how it affects the gameplay. But the biggest shocker came when I placed a regular Smash Bros (or Mario Party) Yoshi Amiibo on the Gamepad: Non-Yarn Yoshi ready and able! Enjoy!

Splatoon and Mario Party are both well represented and well rounded in Yoshi's wooly world. My brother Ken plays one.

BTW, I also enjoyed the wings just recently in Mellow Mode, too!
I recently got the game plus the Light Blue Yarn Yoshi amiibo with my Dad at Target in Eau Claire. I also used my Super Mario series Yoshi amiibo I got about 1 year ago and I still unlocked Plastic Yoshi.

our amiibo is registered and been played with in a level of Yoshi's WW but it won't show in the hut. I'm sure we're missing but it's probably something easy (not too tech savvy apparently :p). Is it supposed to show up after the "once you load your yoshi..." pop-up and you hit "A"? If so...nothing. Any help is appreciated :)
I believe that this Yoshi wont be at the hut but it has been a while. You need to scan it once ingame to make your Yarn Yoshi turn into real Yoshi and be able to play from there.
Thanks, ShiryuGL! We did that but still a no show in the hut. We get him in-game and it's an enjoyable game to play with or without. :D
btw any idea how the yarn yoshis look in smash ??? are they normal or do they have the yarn look?

Do you need a to save data to a yoshi amiibo? I have a smash one who is level 50 and I want the game but I don't want to delete the data.
Pratik Rao No, the only Yoshis who save data are the wool ones, they save whatever pattern you decided to keep on them.

Yes, the only Yoshi's who get written data form this game are the yarn ones.

If you mean the Yoshi on this video, I only know how to make him a clone. Yoshi patterns are unlocked by collecting all wool pieces from each level, unsure if you can unlock Regular Yoshi somewhere down the line...
