Definitely not the gun you take to games. But also not shooting a gun kills it's spirit. This is the gun that you most of the time admire with your eyes only, maybe behind a glass display, and only shoot it on special occasions, like when your best friend who you haven't seen in a long time visits you and you two plink a little while having a good conversation. And also the filming thing you said.
I think putting a CO2 Mancraft V2 in that thing (after converting the PSG to V2 ofc) along with a chamber block and metal receiver would make it a perfect DMR. The stock should have plenty of space for CO2. All that's left then is to reduce the barrel length and put a supressor on it.
Great review on the PSG-1. I’m picking one up within the next 2 weeks. It’s brand new and it has all of the papers, box, and all of its tools and accessories. I can’t wait. It’s also my “Unicorn” of rifle. I also Pick up some upgrades parts for the rifle in case it needs replacements. Systema and guarder still makes some replacements parts for it. I think you should use it in a controlled environment and when you are not using it. Just use it as a displayed piece to show when you have guests over. When I get mine, I might put mine in a display case. We shall see.
Thats awesome mate! They do still exist, just got to do the research to find them. I think you're right - controlled use and admiration is the way forward.
I have a PSG-1 too for 10 years now. So here is my answer : if you want to use it on real games, it will have a lack of performances specially regarding its purpose : it won’t act effectively as a sniper. Plus it’s a heavy and long replica, it will get you tired moving with it, specially if you have to climb something. So it’s best to upgrade it, with some one who knows how to deal with this replica. My upgrade removed the precocking but I still have the moving « ejection window », and the first bb chambering with the charging handle. If you want to keep it as it is, you won’t use it effectively in game. So use it in a controlled environment, Marui always designed their replicas so they will last a very, very long time of use. Perhaps try to use it for several hours to see if it gets you tired because this can help to decide between using it on the field or not. I almost don’t use it my psg-1 because of that. And if you plan to go sometimes in buildings, forget it, you will always hit something.
Thanks for the insight bud. Initially I was thinking it will only see limited, controlled environment type use.. However, there is a site near me that has an outdoor cqb section (think speedsoft but with pallets etc as barriers). I'm thinking the PSG-1 might be able to do ok in somewhere like that?
You like it that much but don’t want to put it to work , I would just use it I work as real life not oh I’m gonna scratch my gun ,get it out there enjoy it ,will never be worth any serious money
I say enjoy it at your local site if that thought doesn’t put too much fear in your heart
It does a little, but I kinda feel like it deserves to be seen. Do you skirmish yours much?
Bring it to games. Play with it, embrace it.

Haha, two friends reconnecting over a few beers and some plinking. You paint a beautiful picture dude

absolutely bro
Personally, I'd sell it and use the money towards the VFC GBB PSG1. Alot of money, but you'll realise why once it arrives at your door step.

You're absolutely right. Going to try and boost the power slightly so she actually functions like a sniper and then get her out there!
Sell it to me ;)
I think she'll be one of the absolute last things I'd ever sell.. right up there with my kwa vector in terms of how much I love it right now.
@@pewpewpaladin damn! I used to have one and made a mistake trading it off...
