it gets ahold of you and before you know it your in too deep..most people wouldnt believe how unhealthy bodybuilders are when they look so healthy , like when they compete and are on stage they are as close to death as you can be ...all for a plastic trophy...and if you knew the stuff that bodybuilders are putting into there bodies nowadays...even taking DNP....basically a plant fertilizer to burn fat...I knew Rich and his ex girlfriend and he got injections in Mexico of PMMA a (synthetic resin) in his arms to expand them

its not to look fit, its to look huge, and size puts a ton of strain on your heart. plus all that stuff is toxic to your liver, heart, and kidneys

I definitely remember him and also remember when he passed away. There were so many conspiracy theories including that his girlfriend had killed him. He was definitely inspirational to those who followed him. rest in peace….
I watched a YT video of his girlfriend handing him a pre-workout drink that had like 8,000 mg of caffeine in it. I think she was trying to kill him.

It's a shame he even felt the need to use steroids to become that size. Personally, I don't find men built like very attractive, but that's just me. It's so sad doing so lead to an early grave. He was incredible to watch though. RIP to him.

So I saw several of his videos he did when he went and had visits with his doctor and he was having serious problems with renal/kidney functions . His creatine clearance was getting worse.When your kidneys stop working properly it messes with your blood toxicity. He knew he was on the road to renal failure but accepted the risks with his continued PED use..

Great piece on rich piana...I subbed to his channel years ago and he was by far one of the best motivational speakers and most massive people, mentally and physically. He has a lot of really cool workouts for everybody that wants to loose weight and build muscle. Even for the beginner. I'm just amazed at how huge this man was and how he is buried in a small space. His coffin had to have been customized.
So again thanks Lamont! Great video on this guy.

I met a guy that was big like him, he told me he hated it, he couldn’t sleep because no matter how he laid down he couldn’t get comfortable. He said he continues to work out because he’s addicted to it.

@Fascinating Graveyards Lamont, thank you for doing this video. I didn’t grow up knowing much about bodybuilding, but I found Rich on UA-cam years ago and loved his channel. He had something to say and wasn’t afraid to say it. I was heartbroken learning of his passing. His honesty was refreshing and he told people not to go the route he did, which is a great life lesson he couldn’t do but he made sure to tell others. Is he hard to find? I know when he passed, there weren’t that many people around his grave, I didn’t think. His girlfriend had a lovely print out before he got his headstone. She even put a Christmas tree up on Christmas. I can’t thank you enough for doing this video. He is greatly missed. Love & Light Lamont🫶🏻🙏🏻

He had a HUGE following online between UA-cam and Instagram. His UA-cam channel is still up with all the videos from when he was alive. If you were in the fitness/bodybuilding community you knew who he was. He came across as harsh sometimes but he seemed like a great guy despite his shortcomings.
He was a great dude. Cared about everyone. We lost a good one.

I watched this guy videos years ago almost everyday working out and speaking the truth about bodybuilding. Lamont you did amazing job on this guy allowing people to recognize who is rich piana for those that had never heard of him he was one of a kind interesting guy to listen to and funny.
He tried to help, motivate and inspire others. Good on him. RIP Rich, and thank you.

I met him at a expo in uk, what a kind hearted man. I have nothing but good things to say about him.
Rich admittedly took 16 iu of growth hormone in the am, and I believe the same in the pm. Growth hormone is usually injected twice daily because of its half life.
On top of that, all the testosterone and other anabolic steroids he was ingesting daily.
His heart was trice as large as it should have been, along with all his other organs were severely enlarged. All this due to the extremely high doses of HGH.
HGH at daily amounts over 10iu will cause organ enlargement, bone structure growth, etc..
He was a walking time bomb for many years.
Rich definitely one of a kind, love him or hate him he inspired millions of people and was entertaining as shit

I listened and watched him. My sons did the same growing up. My son met Rich at a health food store promotional event. Couldn’t be a nicer guy. Took the pic. No charge. Talked for a few minutes about training. A refreshing fitness voice on one of the largest platforms. Not denying his steroid use like some celebrities. But embracing it. Spreading the good and bad effects of use. Great guy. Spread the truth. Not lies. RIP Rich.
The hardest thing in bodybuilding is the diet. Weights second. You have to eat even when not hungry.

Yeah, I think the saying is you’ve got to eat big to get big.
People don't understand hungry is not the same. We're talking 5 to 6 whole meals everyday. By meals I mean a lot chicken breast with just seasonings. Cup of rice and vegetables. No oils ,excess butter etc. no bread plus vitamins. Your servings of meat double to triple servings . Eating just enough calories to grow but now get fat. Within these meals eating a gram and a half to 2 grams protein per pound of body weight. A lot of controlled eating. Plus regular workouts while holding a job for most of us. 😀

I followed Rich for years. His social media platforms were fun, and your right he was a ball
Of energy and could talk. He had a lot of useful information if you were into bodybuilding. But the Roids took a toll on him. You could see earlier on his breathing was heavy.
It’s to bad. This guy had built an empire. His name was Rich and that’s what he was.
I also recommend checking out his training videos. I don’t agree with the steroids but he his tips on lifting was invaluable.

Thank you for doing this story. I miss Rich Piana. He was so much fun to watch. That was pre workout on his table, they thought was coke. He was totally honest about the steroids , and totally douched by the women in his life. He said you have to take steroids if you want to compete. Also buried near rich is Brittany Murphy and her husband.
