Just saw that Grid Down Power Up Documentary a week ago. I've been in research mode for 4 years on solar backup and after that Doc I'm feeling panicked. But I'm just not in an Income bracket to do very much about a Solar purchase. Even an EG4 6k system with panels and a few batteries runs 10 grand. Just not in the cards for so many folks. If the grid goes down...the wife and I will be living the Amish life !!
good video .. i have slightly larger system than yours with 2 sol-ark 15k emp’s with 40 kwh battery and i use amigo energy with free nights and 3 cent buy back and have negative bills

We pay about 40 cents per Kwh in California. Running electric washer and dryer on solar exclusively, saving $40/mo just on laundry.
Yikes, $0.40 per KWH is robbery.

Your SA may not need soft starts to start, but they will prolong the life of your expensive electronics.
