Riddle 1 is scientific. Light particles are called photons. Photons aren't matter and therefore have no mass, so they don't take up space. Smoke and air are very small, very thin particles of mass so they do take up space although very little. Sound is a good one in the literal context of the riddle. Your observation on riddle 3 is pretty witty 🙂
