    My Bass-Enhanced version Saga(there's also a "Balanced" version) arrived yesterday. Actually watching/ listening to this video with it. For the price it's good; specially if you're just a casual listener. Build quality is solid, cable and eartips- make sure to get better ones, performance- bass is good, mids and treble are clear enough. So far, sibilance that I've come across are from tracks that are sibilant or not well mastered to begin with. Not really have much to complain. For the price and what you're getting(except for the cable and eartips), and it's performance, it's definitely "bang for your buck".
    I got the Saga as sort of a replacement for the Rosefinch, which I gave to a friend who was looking for a set of "bass" earphones. She was pleasantly surprised that that kind of bass can be had from an earphone. She was mostly using tws, the ultra budget kind. Yeah, safe to say, she's now got her toes dipped into the hobby; hehehe...
    I figured, instead of getting another Rosefinch, why not try the Saga which also had a bit more mids and treble, as well as a more open sound-stage, compared to the Rosefinch. I'm glad I did. The tuning of the Saga also allows me to use it with more music genres compared to the Rosefinch.
    By the way, the eartips that I think(solely based on my personal preference) pairs well with the Saga are(in no particular order):
    Acoustune AET06(though not so comfortable for extended sessions), Tangzu Sancai Narrow Bore, Radius DeepMount, Dunu S&S, and Spinfit CP 100+(but you will lose some of the rumble and thump).
    Here's what i hope KZ would do in the future though(like maybe in 2-3 weeks time?). How about a triple-DD(maybe a 14mm, 10mm, and 6mm combo) with the best dynamic driver that KZ has and with a full-metal build. Like a totl version of the Trio or Vader, and tuned by the same guy they had tuning the Rhapsody and the Hydro.
    I bet KZ can do this for under 40$.

      @@readistreet9383 Again, this is all based on my personal listening experience and the way my ears perceive sound; I'm not an "audiophile". I'm just a casual listener who enjoys listening to music, so please do take my 2-cents with a grain(or even a teaspoon) of salt. I just would like to make that clear, lest someone starts castigating me for stuff I've said in my original comment and here in my reply, that they disagree with.
      In my IEM line-up, the one with the lightest bass is the Saga. I have the Legato, I've had the ZAS and the Rosefinch, and I have the Rhapsody- if you put it on the 1100 setting, the Rhapsody can be even just a bit more bassy than the Saga. Between the Rosefinch and the Saga, the Rosefinch most definitely have the bigger bass. BUT! This also makes it very limited to the type of music genre you can listen with it.
      The Saga, though bassy enough, would be more versatile. Also, because of the smaller nozzle on the Saga, it's more comfortable compared to the Rosefinch.

    • @TheRebelLion13
      @TheRebelLion13 10 днів тому

      @@JaviGómezLozano-x8r The Saga is something I can recommend to someone who's sort of just getting into IEMs and I would like for them to have something that is "familiar sounding" but better in a certain way.
      Specially those who are not looking to spend much, on earphones. I've met people who think earphones should cost less than 10$, so they content themselves with the dirt-cheap stuff that sounds terrible. And yet they still enjoy their music. But when they are given the chance to listen to decent earphones/IEMs, they actually light up and are pleasantly surprised. This was what happened to my friend. She was making do with the really cheap stuff, and she enjoys heavy bass. So when I let her listen to the Rosefinch, she just went "Wow!", and she said all that time she was listening to "blob" and "mud". So I let her have my Rosefinch(and she was enjoying the heck out of it). But if I already had the Saga then, I would've definitely given her the Saga instead.
      The tuning of the Saga and it's build quality is, in my opinion, what makes it a really good rec for people like my friend, to just spend a little bit more for something that they will definitely enjoy; and I know for a fact that there are a lot of them out there.

      Yeah, i don't think the full potential of a triple-dd set-up has been realized. That set-up right there can cover the 3 main frequencies, Bass, Mids, and Treble. That's why I wonder why barely any company is taking that set-up more seriously. For one, i think that it's because it's dynamic drivers- which means it's not going to be overly complicated(if at all), which also means they can't charge people much.
      7Hz has gone through all that trouble of putting together a 5-DD set-up with the Five, which is a novel idea(and yes it's actually on my bucket list), but to me the question is, why aren't more brands doing triple-DD which can cover all three frequencies? I think it's the relative simplicity of it is the reason. It's simple enough that it'd be quite difficult to convince people to pay more than they should.
      That's why I hope KZ makes improved versions of their triple-DD set-up(and with all 3 drivers independently doing what it's supposed to be doing. I haven't forgotten the lesson of the "Dud Driver Fiasco" KZ got themselves into, a couple of years ago).

    Maybe you should place the part about KZ sets in a separate video so more people can find it. I rewatched the reviews of some of the sets you mentioned and ended up ordering the Trio ($12 on sale 🎉 ), out of curiosity. :)
    I have the Hydro next on the list of set to get because the tuning seems good and you said they give an idea of what expensive multi driver are like. But am worried about spending $120 on a KZ set.
    Is the Super Mix 4 a better overall package? I don't mind EQing the Harman out it. 😂

      @PaulWasabii  9 днів тому +3

      Yep, I will do a KZ wrap up video, maybe towards the end of the year. Just a lot of the same questions recently on those particular sets. As for SM4 or Hydro, I'd still take Hydro with the bass shelf but both are nice sets. SM4 takes a bit more EQ but might fit better. Just my gut feeling, people who are more treble emphasis will take SM4, but the Hydro balance isn't as treble emphasized but it has a lower end that handles more genres with the switches. I also think treble plays better into what Simgot is good at, not just on SM4. If you are EQ'ing, matters less which set but as I said, Hydro is kinda large shell which is noticeable if you have smaller ears.

    The tuning looks like an Hola or EDC Pro with more sub-bass. I tend to think that Castor bass, Vader balanced, and the Saga bass, look like a cost effective way to checkout a few different types of tuning. Vader is odd one, the high-res was the one KZ seemed to send to reviewers, and it wasn't the good one. I still think for people that want lots of bass, the KBear Rosefinch is a great budget pick.

      The ZAR is at €53 atm so it's not so far away from the price for the KZ ZS10 Pro 2.
      I own the KZ ZS10 Pro X and the KZ ZS10 Pro 2. Interestingly, the bass on the Pro 2 improved after some time, almost as if it needed a 'burn-in' period.
      However, I still find it a bit harsh in the mids some time (3k peak?) and, for my taste, lacking just a touch of bass. While I can compensate for this with the "Bass Mode" setting on my KZ AE01 Bluetooth ear hooks, it would be nice to have an IEM that naturally has more bass presence without sacrificing quality in the mids and highs. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the ZS10 Pro 2, but from what I’ve heard, the ZAR is the flagship, so my expectations are pretty high. Maybe I should be asking you more about the comparison in quality of the mids and highs between the ZS10 Pro 2 and the ZAR?
