SPECIES #5: MOUNTAIN WHITEFISH (PROSOPIUM WILLIAMSONI)

As a UPS driver, I’m constantly scouting out fishing spots. Today I took my mandatory lunch break and knocked out species #5, Mountain Whitefish. The whitefish has been given a bad reputation, many people consider them a junk fish. Not only are they a native species of Utah, but they fight like a cornered dog when hooked! I’ve only got 30 minutes until I’m back at it, let’s knock this species off our list!

I could be wrong, but those look like the fish I was told to avoid catching while floating the Green. I only avoided them because I was told they were trash fish! I don't really care what I catch as long as I can feel something tugging on my rod! ;) Are they related to carp at all, because they look like carp?
