Arcturionn Bloodhound I think they were in war with dome cousins og nerubians and they destroyed em,then well of eternity broke and they broke with it (I am not 100% sure about well of eternity)

The trolls have a point. They have been crushed and removed from their homes, invaded by enemies and had their land stolen. In a way, we are the villains
What makes them in the wrong is their sheer refusal to adapt to the times. Their Empires were at the height of their thousands of years ago. Times have changed, new powers have risen and they stubbornly deny the facts in their warmongering.
Henry Helwig Never said evil, just a bit foolish. I agree their fate is extremely tragic but they are not helping it at all with the path they're taking.
It is sad. They even gave up their pride as trolls when they sought out the Mogu and became underlings of the Thunder King, all for a piece of land in Pandaria to live in. :(
I first started WoW in Cata. And Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub were some really tough, challenging and amazing dgs to play through. Made me so interested in trolls and their culture. Wish I could have fought the mighty Zul'Jin all those years ago..
So you say just because Voljin puts the horde above his own race he must be warchief? There were dozens of characters who did the same, including their own family who are MUUUUUUUCH stronger and more experienced than voljin and did a lot more for the horde than him. He is not a bad choice but in my oppinion there are enough candidates that would have been better and more logical choices like Drekthar or Varok - both extremely wise and experienced and unbelievably badass orcs both in their 90s and both highly decorated for their efforts for the orcish race in 4 great wars - varok was even there to kill the LK and lead the hordes armies very often. Voljin is just a young lad - the heart on the right spot but not ready yet
Orkar Isber "MUCH stronger and more experienced than Vol'Jin" Some 2 random orcs that only real fans would know about? Maybe you mean Sylvannas - Banshee that spits on everything and everyone because Arthas forsaken them? Or maybe some tauren whose father died and now is crying all the time? Oh, or MAYBE this awesome Lor'themar Theron that stole amazing power and possibilities along with blood elves from Kael'Thas? Huh? Little goblin that just somehow "accepted" joining the horde only because they paid them more for zeppelins and machinery? I think at this point that Thrall is really tired (fighting a death aspect - not a big deal) Vol'Jin is the best decision. Cheers!
MrDarkentro 1. Drekthar is the general in Alterac Valley and leader of the frostwolf clan and known by players and Varok lead the attack on ICC, his son who died at wrathgate was a boss there. Varok also lead the attack on Ahnquiraji in classic and was commaner in BC near the dark portal. Also if you follow lore - which quite some players do, Drekthar was the greatest shaman after Nerzhul and lead the frostwolf clan ever since durotans death, also he was thralls teacher and had a major role in creating thralls new horde. He is extremely wise (and in his hundreds, still dualwielding heavy axes) and extremely experienced, having witnessed all major events in wow there are. Same goes for Varok who is in his 90s and lead armies and fought in all 4 great wars since the first horde formed. Both are extremely powerfull and experienced in leading and diplomacy and without both the horde would not even exist, without Drekthar Thrall wouldnt even be alive. Also both are orcs - and its sort of tradition that an orc is warchief. and at least Varok is very popular in the horde, being the highest in command after the warchief as high overlord. It would have been natural if Thrall chose either Varok or Drekthar. Sylvannas cant be trusted - she betrayed the horde more than once and likely will do so again. The belfs are quite new to the horde and Lorthemar is surely powerfull but not really fitting in the role cause of his lack of diplomacy. A goblin? Stop kidding.... Bane and Voljin are both loyal and have the heart at the right place but both are very young (30?) and very inexperienced - they may become warchief some day but now is just too soon by far. Carine would have been acceptable if he hadnt died.
Orkar Isber Gotta agree on Drek'thars proves however he's Old Way too Old, he wouldn't be warchief for long, Varok on the other hand would fit better, even if he isn't really That much younger than Drek, he can atleast move better.
Roni Hamm well Thrall was Warchief for...10 Years? Drekthar will survive that long and Varok may live for 20 or even 30 more years. Not to mention Garroshs very short service. Drekthar is extremely wise and i am sure he would be the perfect warchief - also it is tradition that the leader of the strongest clan becomes warchief and the frostwolfs are the strongest clan in the horde of whom Drekthar is chief, Varok would be a great choice as well though he is a better candidate for a time of war than a time of peace - tough ofc. he himself wants peace with the alliance. Voljin was just a hype selection from Thall as was Garrosh - Thrall simply failed to see who really did much for the horde and who did not. Even Grommash himself would not have been a worthy warchief compared to Drekthar or Varok, makin his totally inexperienced son warchief was the most stupid idea ever. Is Thrall wise? i dont know but some of his choices make him look like an idiot
One of my favorite dungeons. Everything was so unique and foreign that it stood out. What was also great about it was that it was actually pretty difficult, but fun. Me being a casual player, appreciated the opportunity to receive a real challenge before I got the opportunity to raid.
+MrGropy Zul'aman granted, that was 100% copy paste from the raid original, but in the case of Zul'gurub, I'd have to agree. Probably the most innovative dungeon they ever did. I have no idea how you could consider it copy paste when it could barely be more different from the original counterpart. I would've preferred to keep old Zul'gurub, but as far as dungeons go, one of the better they ever made in terms of mechanics and "fair" difficulty so to speak. Actually, I don't see why the raids (assuming you mean BWD and BoT) would be copy paste either. The setting is similar, but the bosses and style was still reimagined. Perhaps you just have a shrewd sense of "copypaste".
MrGropy it was an accessible dungeon for casual players to either rage quit or take the next step forward to being more hardcore. And i didn't get a chance to play it back in BC (I wish Dx!) so i guess this is coming from a post-BC viewpoint. I didn't hit max lvl til early wrath.
Vol'jin... May Bwonsamdi, great loa of death, watch over you closely on the other side. My Warchief. My Chieftain. Rest well. We, the Darkspear, will have our revenge for this. Rise Of The Zandalari. Also known by its code name: "Most of our programmers are working on Project Titan which hasn't been canceled (yet), so our skeleton crew will rework some Troll raids into Heroic 5-mans so you can be distracted for another year until Firelands is released."
Its so interesting to see that hallsr has such a strong grip upon the lore development of the trolls throughout the whole warcraft saga upon a certain point. To really see the bloodgod never give up on his grip on the trolls and to manipulate them into bringing him in the world
Cegesh He's not a traitor, he's helping the ones who helped the Darkspears. In WC3 Thrall and the horde helped Vol'jin and the Darkspear tribe to get away from the Sea Witch, so now he helps the horde in return. Seems to me he's anything but a traitor, he's merely helping those who have helped them in the past. Nowhere have I seen the Zandalari helping the Darkspear....
Cegesh Seems like you weren't there in vanilla WoW....the Zandalari came to yojamba to seek help from the heroes (all heroes, not just the darkspear) to fight against Hakkar. They didn't helped the Darkspear, WE (the heroes) helped the Zandalari to fight against Hakkar and all those who were loyal to Hakkar.
Cegesh Wut. The Zandalari do not hold sovereignty over the other troll tribes/empires, Rastakhan's title as "King of the Trolls" means as little to the Darkspear as it does to the rest of the races of the Horde. The Horde have done far more Vol'jin and his people, why would he ever willingly ally himself with the Gurubashi and the Amani, his ENEMIES, if all it meant was that he was just going to be serving under the rule of a failing king?
Cegesh I really don't know why this is getting you so butthurt. It would've been retarded and completely lore shattering if Vol'jin were to do anything _beyond_ listening to the Zandalari (which is what he did in the video) after the Prophet immediately gets done announcing proclaiming an alliance with the Gurubashi and Amani Trolls, enemies of the Horde. Saying "poor story choice" without any substantial justification really just makes you seem bitter over not getting your way for a stupid decision like having Vol'jin join a couple of failures who end up allying themselves with the Mogu out of desperation anyways.
Aaaah, the nostalgia... first time I played was during BC, but my first true expansion that I really felt a part of was Cata, and this patch introduced some of the very first dungeons I ever played properly (not being boosted through). I miss those days. The first time swimming around in Vashj'ir, discovering that both Tanaris and Thousand Needles were flooded, the thrilling opening of Uldum and attending Thrall's wedding in person.
@HikaruIrving I know. 90 percent of High Elves were slaughtered by the Scourge and Blood Elves were absent in the time of classic WoW. They got screwed over and were replaced by Night Elves in the Alliance.
I love troll lore. Glad to see all the tribes reuniting even if most of the major ones except Darkspear are bad. This is exluding the minor tribes like revantusk, shatterspear, etc...
@Blaze90i It was confirmed in the Q&A at BlizzCon, that the story will continue in MoP, and on the map shown at BLizzCon, north of Pandaria is a small island labeled "Zandalari Island", not Zandalar but a start.
I document all the WoW zones on my Tube channel, so if theres another Cataclysm, I have my favorite places safely stored... I consider myself a prepper :P Prepping for the next end of the world. Cata was nice, but I miss the world I grew up in... :(
It would be so freaking awesome if Blizzard creates a expansion with Zandalari and Trolls on a new island because trolls and zandalari is so cool, I love to quest in Stranglethorn Vale
blizzard: "guys i have a great idea!" "what?" "how about we take 2 perfectly made raids and turn then to shitty heroic dungeouns?" "thats a brilliant idea!" tnx for cataclysm BTW...
Are you serious? Cata had best dungeons ever (in terms of difficulty for sure) and Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub are some of the hardest and best dungeons in WoW history. ZA and ZG were much worse as raids in previous expansions.
Yukine Chris There used to be a continent named Zandalar right where Pandaria was, think Devs mentioned that they merged with Pandaria then joined the Mogu afterwards.
Can't wait for Mists of Pandaria. I saw on the Pandaria map you see a little island called zandalar island or something, I think and hope we will find some troll history right there!
In 2018, with the new expansion, the Zandalari will be joining the horde. Now the trolls will be at full force and standing together with the horde. Sad Vol'Jin is not alive to witness the rebirth of the Zandalari empire. Now all the trolls stand together...FOR THE HORDE!!!
The Zandalari also made an appearance in Wrath; when the Ice Trolls started sacrificing their own gods to fight a futile battle against the Scourge, the traveled there to save what they can of its their culture and gods. According to some in-game lorewalker stuff, Rastakhan is still on Zandalar inside his palace while the island is sinking around him. The prophet Zul is leading the Zandalari now.
It’s awesome you knew this ten years ago. You probably won’t reply, or may even have forgotten. But where was Zul and Rastakhan mentioned all that time ago?
And now we be like "Hey fellas, we really drove you out of your homes in the past and took a good dunk on you several times in the past few years, you're now alone on Zandalar but we need da ships. Please join us ?" I don't get it.
simple: The Zandalari Trolls that caused all those problems (including The Isle of Thunder) where Zul´s doing against Rastakhan´s orders, in Zuldazar we learn that there are Zandalari trolls who where against that, and those are the ones who will be part of the zandalari that joins the horde.
no problem man, I had the same question until I played the Zuldazar questline. Even more, all the Mogu that are near Zandalar, are actually enemies od the Zandalaries themselves, so in the Alliance questline where you need to explode all those zandalari boats that are filled with mogu are actually enemies of the horde and Rastakhans Trolls too. Because they are part of Zul´s forces.
-"Vol'jin of the Dark Spear, you would turn your back on your own people??"

Its so interesting to see that hallsr has such a strong grip upon the lore development of the trolls throughout the whole warcraft saga upon a certain point. To really see the bloodgod never give up on his grip on the trolls and to manipulate them into bringing him in the world
Can’t wait to do this in cata classic
oh Vol`Jin ... i miss you
"The horde is my people.. If it b war U bring..then I stand against ya!!" Awesome.... :)
Cegesh "Twin Emperors"
LOL.
RIP Vol'jin 2016.
Wait,what? Vol'jin died?
Yes
Aaaah, the nostalgia... first time I played was during BC, but my first true expansion that I really felt a part of was Cata, and this patch introduced some of the very first dungeons I ever played properly (not being boosted through). I miss those days. The first time swimming around in Vashj'ir, discovering that both Tanaris and Thousand Needles were flooded, the thrilling opening of Uldum and attending Thrall's wedding in person.
No one asked.
Why did they change Vol'jin's VA & Look? He sounds and looks far better here.
Erk doesnt matter anyway now since he is sadly dead now
Good stuff. WoW Cata Classic is some peak WoW!
If they would have joined him trolls would rise, Vol'jin is now leader of the horde. lol
+Jack Twohearts And now Vol'jin is nowhere to be seen and Sylvanas is the leader of the Horde. LOL
+Bagoom Potatoman I wonder if they just did it over people complaining about him as warchief lol.
Justin Barrett who knows but if you ask me it should have been old man Saurfang that should have been Warchief not Vol'jin or Sylvanas
Apparently hes out looking for old alliances.Speculated that hes trying unite the troll empires.
Or blizz just kill him off like idiots.
They did it for the lols
vol'jin #1 warcraft character
Can't get enough of this trailer!
Hyped to play these heroics next week!
This patch was awesome! No stupid steamrolling through dungeons; even with some epics, these two dungeons were difficult!
So Amazing, specially 1:15 - Epic !
RIP RIP VOL'JIN see you at da crossroads
I love how we're finally getting a chance to kill Zul years later. How his story comes full circle.
@HikaruIrving I know. 90 percent of High Elves were slaughtered by the Scourge and Blood Elves were absent in the time of classic WoW. They got screwed over and were replaced by Night Elves in the Alliance.
I was suprised that Gun'Drak, and Zul'Farrak didn't get revamps like Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurrub.
1:58 the reason i`m proud of the newest warchief.
For Vol'jin for da darkspears for da horde for AZEROTH
This needs a remaster, this to me was a complete badass TRAILER!!!
gods of zul aman and the rise of the zandalari are the best cinematics ever
For the Zandalari!!
2:08 meanwhile, one Zandalari chick got thirsty for that Horde Mohawk of his.
We are with ya mon... soon
Vol'Jin your fucking awesome badass!
Shadows of the Horde makes me more fan of Vol'Jin than ever!
This is one inspiring speech
*MAKE DA TROLLS GREAT AGAIN*
I document all the WoW zones on my Tube channel, so if theres another Cataclysm, I have my favorite places safely stored... I consider myself a prepper :P Prepping for the next end of the world.
Cata was nice, but I miss the world I grew up in... :(
Dis traila is so good, it makes me want troll themed expansion so hard, mon.
The troll who was talking at start is the Voice actor for Gabriel Tosh in Starcraft 2!
We are back boyzzz
Is why Vol'jin is a true warchief and leader. Thinking about his people rather than mixing up with the wrong crowd. Darkspear never die.
It would be so freaking awesome if Blizzard creates a expansion with Zandalari and Trolls on a new island because trolls and zandalari is so cool, I love to quest in Stranglethorn Vale
💀
The Zandalari troll talking to all other Troll tribes is actually Prophet Zul from BFA
I can't believe this was 8 years ago, I remember the day like it was yesterday
blizzard: "guys i have a great idea!"
"what?"
"how about we take 2 perfectly made raids and turn then to shitty heroic dungeouns?"
"thats a brilliant idea!"
tnx for cataclysm BTW...
Are you serious? Cata had best dungeons ever (in terms of difficulty for sure) and Zul'Aman and Zul'Gurub are some of the hardest and best dungeons in WoW history. ZA and ZG were much worse as raids in previous expansions.
Remember when Blizz launched this and it was actually a challenge wich not anyone could finish
I find it funny the relevance of this patch, which during Cataclysm seemed out out of place, in Mists of Pandaria, an entire x-pac later.
And then we'll now say "SO THIS IS WHY THE ZANDALARI JOINED FORCES WITH THE MOGU, IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!-!-!-!"
@Cegesh I am aware of that. I meant to say that I hope that they become playable in the future.
Vol´Jin be awesomest in warcraft and beyond!
Bring Back Zul'jin!!
@MrAstericks darkspear and gurubashi are jungle trolls the burly ones are forest trolls/drakkari or zandalari
And I start to play wow in this patch *-* great memories
This place was the pub breaker, zul'gurub
*Now you are Horde too buddy*
The Scarlet Tear Zul isn't exactly Horde. He works for G'huun.
Thanks Vol'bama
The music is actually fire.
@@PeriodDramain Zul'Drak.
And here we go
8.0 Zandala forever.
soooo, now the horde is also home for the zandalari. This was all in vain
now zandalari is friend of horde .. year 2018
Epic Vol'Jin! Epic! Love from the Blood Elves and THE HORDE!!!
2011 zandalari: „we are the beste. Woaaaaaahhh“
2018 zandalari: „eyoo horde can we join ??“
Patch was pretty poor but the trailer is great.
And now we be like "Hey fellas, we really drove you out of your homes in the past and took a good dunk on you several times in the past few years, you're now alone on Zandalar but we need da ships. Please join us ?"
I don't get it.
simple: The Zandalari Trolls that caused all those problems (including The Isle of Thunder) where Zul´s doing against Rastakhan´s orders, in Zuldazar we learn that there are Zandalari trolls who where against that, and those are the ones who will be part of the zandalari that joins the horde.
As someone that has never played horde, I am glad you were here to explain. Thank you for the clarification.
no problem man, I had the same question until I played the Zuldazar questline.
Do not let da Horde die dis day.
Cata ZG and ZA had amazingly fun boss mechanics.
what the other guy said and also the Requily which is the Horde verson of the exploer league but they bring useful gear to be used
