Tracklist:

I used to work at the Marquee Club when I was 17 these cats palyed there a lot, man they were great and Zenon Hierowski was lovely guy who spoke from the heart and seemed like the big brother I never had. God Bless him.
The BBC really knew how to capture the performance. Sounds fantastic. Love the moving bass guitar too.
Punks can say what they want, but it's bands like this that laid the groundwork for what would happen in 1976-1977. Wilko was imitated by many guitarists and The Pirates set the Reading Festival on fire in 1978. That's about it.
just the best pub rock band ever, sorely missed
Tim Young agree. This. And. Brinsley. Schwartz
Yes, I agree. A great band.
From the days before the music industry took the rock out of rock. Magic.
or the roll out of rock n' roll
Well said!
Track 1. A rougher but well judged take on Ray Davies's 1965 power chord rocker.
This is a great band that everyone should listen to. Always liked them since I first heard them. Plus I don't know if I have this. You have made my "end of the day". Thanks very much for sharing.
John Mitchell have. The vinyl. Sad. Johnny guitar. Is no longer with us I found them when I. Was working collectible. Records just. Blew. Me. Away. All the pub rock stuff came out. And I do. Love punk. But this stuff is. Timeless
@@mikelib100 Actually, I'm still alive and kicking, 72 in July...Johnny Guitar. Zen and Stevie are gone RIP

Great!!! Rough & ready, just as it should be. And Dave Tice is still going strong, check him out on Facebook!
Wrong picture here. This is the Speedball picture with me in it and I am nowhere on this recording.
The shit you recorded with the Count Bishops is the backbone of my music. Speedball is the best record OF THE 70's in my opinion.
I'd love to talk to you about the era of music you were in on. I could even farm out an interview to a friend's fanzine. urbangrowrooms@gmail.com
Not the best but still a classic.
Still remember when it came out.
Hmm.. This got thinking, might make this my line on bands from this era. Hell I'm 58 and all! HaHa jk !!
Johnny Guitar is God!
Thanks, I don't think my wife agrees! Johnny Guitar
@@cripguitar Still one of my favorite guitarists! Do you have any decent quality tapes of any live shows you did with Dr. Feelgood? We have some mutual friends I think: Eddie Edwards & Steve Hooker from when I lived in London in the 1990's & I even went to a solo show you did! Like you I'm back in the US. I don't know how you existed on English food- the worst! I actually saw you live with Bill Hurley when I went to London on vacation in 1986(?) & you signed a 45 sleeve of a recording you guested on, I forgot the title, but I was the guy from Jackson Heights which you won't remember!
@@MrHifihifi Don't remember but glad you're safely back in the US. I've lost any old recordings I had over the years unfortunately. Also unfortunately, Billy Hurley is in a home outside of London with pretty severe dementia...I played a gig with him a couple of days before returning to the US in 1997 and he was fine then. A tragedy, great bloke and great singer. Stay well...
@@cripguitar You should write a book about your journey & adventures from the US to London to join a UK band. I think it would be a great read!
