the amount of fuel ,emissions that could be saved world wide is stunning.We need to educate people on the advantages of streamlining.We can with modern technology,produce the Holy grail of motorcycles.
side wind issues can be over come,what seems to help is extending the wheelbase,adding more surface area behind the cg.The Ecomobile,Monotracer have no problems with side winds,like a car you slow down a little and carry on.Craig has really done a lot to keep streamlining alive,we could save so much fuel,emissions etc.
Great slideshow presentation. Craig has mentioned it before but not here, how cars are overtaking bikes for speed, comfort and economy. I keep on seeing so-called "next generation" 'bikes coming out of styling houses, not engineering shops. They are all a muchness.
I just saw a Vetter streamlined bike in SLC, UT this weekend near the entrance to Big Cottonwood Canyon. I would love to see more if them on the road.
