3:22 this is why I never buy the latest stuff until after all the reviews come out. You might think you’re buying something amazing but you don’t always get what you pay for😳💀
Interestingly for no. 8, a different brand (Hask) actually released yogurt-based shampoo and conditioner in the 21st century that ended up doing fairly well. Maybe Clairol was just too far ahead of the trend, releasing their product before the idea of using food items in cosmetic products had become widely accepted like it is now.
Yes I remember the Galaxy Note 7 I heard about it on the news at the time. As someone who mainly owns Samsung stuff that product made me wonder if I really should get a phone after all
What about the Windows 98 Product demonstration that had the Blue Screen of Death? Wasn't that a product launch? I would put it ahead of even the Cyber Truck because you can still drive the truck with a cracked glass, but when you got the BSOD, the only thing to do was reboot.
I still think they broke the glass on purpose with Tesla Truck. The truck was talked about by EVERYBODY - and it really doesn't matter that the windows can't stop a metal ball being thrown at it.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7: The Phone That Will BLOW You Away. All jokes aside, I remember the Samsung phone incident and that really scared people. Thank goodness no one died.
The Virtual Boy was in 3D. The Mario game was fun, but everything was red. No other colors. After playing for a while and removing the headset, it took a while for your eyes to adjust back to normal
We had a Virtual Boy, and probably still do in the basement somewhere. I could barely play it, it gave me migraines and I was too small for its stand. My big brother claimed it wasn’t all that bad, but he could have been trying to show new gaming systems weren’t a waste of money lol
Pretty sure Betamax was superior in every way, other than the fact that you could only fit 4 hrs as opposed to 8 hrs. The quality was higher, the bit-rate speed was higher, you had more options with playback speed, slow motion, or super fast, and I'm pretty sure the only reason VHS won, was because it was easier to record porn onto vhs...lol.
Technology has always been driven by porn. Remember when cellular phones used to get smaller every year, until they put a proper screen on them and suddenly they started getting bigger with every new model? Yeah, it's because we figured out it was more, err, private than the family computer.
I didn't even know something existed before Clippy. I remember playing a game online on my Wii on the internet Channel that was geared to Clippy. I believe Gilbert Gottfried voiced him and Freddie Prinze jr. This office worker and the whole premise was that the office worker was trying to take down Clippy
Tesla engineers: Tell Mr Musk that we didn’t have time to put the shatter proof window glasses on the truck. Do not throw the metal ball at them! Crew: aaaa he already did. Engineers: *Mothe F****!!!!*
Probably already mentioned, but here goes: the Betamax format was noticeably higher quality than VHS, meaning that VHS was *not* "better in every way". Other than that, it's a good list.
@@inkheart181 It is. And not only the Videogame-Industry. I'm a Worker in a Company that makes Car-Parts for Audi, BMW, Mercedes and more all around the world. Well to be precise, we have Locations in America, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Germany. Which is the biggest. And we're suffering from that Chip-Shortage too... Our German Location had to file for Insolvency. Bad for us Employees. 😒
The kinect was the bomb. It could connect to your TV surround sound ... so you walk into your room and say "Xbox on" and it turned all your shit on. I miss it :(
I still think that New Coke was a diversion while Coke switched from using cane sugar in their formula to high fructose corn syrup. The original Coke had a bite that is missing these days.
A flashing lights warning at the beginning of the video would be very beneficial, y'all. I enjoy your videos and I don't have epilepsy, but you need to reupload this video and any others with flashing lights warnings if there are any more of your videos like this. My comment will probably go unnoticed but it's worth a shot.
The cybertruck actually isn’t released yet it was just a preview and still in development. Sure there was a problem but the car hasn’t really been released for public yet
I wanted a Note at the time, just before I going to upgrade the fires started to happen. I saw some research about what cause it later and it turned out the manufacture of the battery made the battery a hair too big, so when the case was closed, it pitched the battery, causing it to short out. In some case, explode or catch fire.
I worked the launch and relaunch of the galaxy s7 and note7. I worked the launch of the note 8. They were very different launches. I handled hot and bloated phones. It was wild.
Do you know That VHS became the winner is because the Adult industry people rented them the most and it became the norm? It's the same thing with Blue Ray.
Yup, plus they lied about it being as good as Betamax, it was actually quite inferior. But, ya know, Mojo doesn't care about facts or anything, plus I think most if their audience are kids who wouldn't know anyways.
It was New Coke that "Classic" has been added to Coca-Cola for 35 years. Classic was not on Coca-Cola containers before New Coke and was taken off only last year (2020)
I was working @ at&t when the Note 7 launched. How that issue ballooned and exploded.. 😌 Worst nightmare. “Hello, my son just got his thigh burned…” Ma’am, did you call 9-1-1? “No, I wanted to call you first and I want a replacement today!” (True call)
The window cracking/ruined at the Cyber Truck reveal was funny but every vehicle that I have ever seen would also fail if subjected to the same test. I don't own a Tesla so I'm not a fanboy or anything, but it is hard for me to compare it to the other ones...especially the ones where the products don't work at all or are completely unsafe. That truck looks like something outa Halo! If you get one then don't throw steel balls at the glass windows on it is all! lol *EDIT - I was expecting the X-Box 360 RROD to be #1? Or the more recent Cyberpunk 2077 or GTA Trilogy "Definitive" edition to be dis-honorable mentions.
I think this video is about product LAUNCHES that went wrong, (hence the title) rather than products that ultimately failed in marketplace, which of course Windows phones did.
So crazy to think that the name Coca Cola comes from the cocoa leaf. They used to put cocaine in it. But til this day it’s still named coke when you think about it
New Coke was far, far from a failure because it was never meant to be a success. The whole purpose of the ad campaign was to get Coca-Cola's name in the news and to keep it there for as long as possible due to the growing popularity of Pepsi. To this end, it succeeded well beyond anything the company expected and Coke's sales went through the roof and they have never looked back.

Elon said, "OMFG"! It was an event to remember and no one has forgotten the Cyber Truck since that moment!

Oh yes the old Tesla cybertruck. I saw so many memes about that before I really watched the actual presentation
7:20 yo what the heck is that?! 😂😂
Honorable mention, the power glove it was a mess, I remember did not work Even with the codes. Love your voice Rebeca!!!!

no that was simply a demonstration not during the actual launch of the product
I still think they broke the glass on purpose with Tesla Truck. The truck was talked about by EVERYBODY - and it really doesn't matter that the windows can't stop a metal ball being thrown at it.
Tbf it can stop a metal ball thrown at it but not undamaged xD

I read that Sony didn't let other companies use the Betamax format that's why it failed globally.

I think the Windows Vista public speech recognition demo of 2006 and it's epic fail was pretty hilarious.

Coca Cola Mexico still uses cane sugar in theirs. We get em here in Texas en la medio litro

The adult entertainment industry decided the winner in the Betamax versus VHS war.
I have a blank Beta Max cassette.
