WOLLUST: Schlafe, mein Liebster, und pflege der Ruh,
Folge der Lockung entbrannter Gedanken.
Schmecke die Lust
Der lüsternen Brust
Und erkenne keine Schranken.

LUST: Sleep, my beloved, and take care to rest,
Follow the lure of torrid thoughts.

I can picture baby Jesus resting in the arms of Maria in that stable. I was in the basement of the church of Nativity in Bethlehem. Your heart filled singing of this aria comforts my soul. SDG. Bless you.
have you listened to the lyric? This is not about Jesus. There is another lyric, which is.
Perfection!
Wonderful technique!
Outstanding!
Pronunciation, breathing and interpretation at the best outcome! 👌 ❤
What a beautiful, sweet, and heartwarming singing❣️
Ms Brookshaw's singing always touches my heart with its honestness, simpleness, and pureness which might be the highest values in the human art.
❤
Was für eine wunderbare Arie. Und erst der Text. So klingt es denn einfach nur herrlich, wenn J.S. Bach das lustvolle Verlangen in Töne beschreibt
Beautiful as usual. Thank you Solomon’s Knot.
This is utterly gorgeous - the control, the little flourishes, the subtle changes. Just sublime. You do wonder what the 11 year old Prince made of this - methinks he was a little young to appreciate!
😂
What a great performance! Enjoyed, thanks!
👍💐
Alles etwas verstimmt.
