Totally understandable, Mike. Germany is your homeland where you can experience the love of your mother that you can't quite get back in LA. Take all the time you need and I know whatever life you decide to move with, we all know it'll be the right one and we'll be with you every step of the way!

Totally understand what Mike is feeling. Many of us realize since the lockdown due to the pandemic how crazy America is with too many criminals. Especially people like us from the first world countries with stable society economically, ethically and culturally that we reevaluated how luck we were that we have these home town/countries that everything is functioning.
i knew he wasn't going back. America isn't what it use to be, even for the die hard fans of america, times have changed my friends, take care of your loved ones.
Mike, we don't care where you do the videos. All we want is you, your smile and your absolutely full of life personality. You get your smile from your mama. That warm, kind smile that makes you want to smile, too. Follow your heart. Life has been crazy the last 2 years. Cling to those you love and all those who love you will follow along with new friends.
I left work 11 years ago to take care of my Mom and don't regret a minute of it. She passed away 2 months ago and I'm so glad I sacrificed to take care of her.
Mike, I am also 54. Having lost both my parents years ago, I can tell you that nothing is more valuable than spending time with your family while they are still here. I watch mostly for your sparkling personality, wonderful sense of humor and the genuine joy you have for the world around you. No matter where you are, I will be there with you!

I'm glad you're staying in Germany (at least for a while). It's great to be with your mom especially since she's getting older. You're a good son. It's who you are that makes people watch you...whatever you're doing. You have a sweet spirit that comes through and that's what makes you successful. Wherever you film from doesn't really matter. People will watch because they like you.
Hello Mike you don't have to explain, everyone knows family time is important and your mom is very happy to see her son again, so take whatever time you need and have as much fun as yous can and enjoy it. spending time with people that you love most is what matters most in life and it's always time spent, you'll never regret. Listen to me Mike, I will NEVER be condescending towards you because you have gained my respect towards you. When I first started watching your videos, I always loved the way you have been straight up from the get-go. Your Genuinity stands far above the crowd. I admire all your hard work because I did the same thing on a soccer field for 10 years recording my daughters' soccer games along with endless editing. When you take time out and share your feelings with your viewers it shows the Genuinity of your craft. I appreciate you taking the time out and spending it with your mother is quite admirable. Your family is amazing and I enjoy every moment you have shared it with your viewers. I am sure after being in Germany you have realized that the U.S. is not so much what it's cracked up to be. I am sure you have realized that life is shorter than anticipated. My friend! "FOLLOW YOUR HEART" there is no right or wrong! You earned my respect and all I would ever care about in this crazy world is to see another person like yourself be happy! All my family has passed and you are so lucky to be able to still hug your own Mom. GOD Bless you, Mike, I soo much admire your courage. You are an awesome person, a wonderful son, and, we love all that you share with us - so just FOLLOW YOUR HEART, your fans and friends are with you.

Sounds great. Germany is a globally underrated country and Köln plus citizens is known for it's uniquely positive vibe. Be well wherever you decide to live, Greetings from Heidelberg
When I first started dating my wife she was a professor teaching German in Los Angeles. Eventually I moved to the UK and was there for a few years and we re-connected and got married in Nottingham and had our honeymoon in Germany - we started in the North and drove down the Rhein until we got to Freiburg because that's the route we had taken many years earlier. After a while we moved back to the LA area. I totally get the emotions you feel as re-connect with places in different countries. Hard to describe unless you've done it. My wife wasn't much interested in your Venice videos but has been mesmerized by your new stuff in Germany - you might just find a new audience!
Ja, listen to your heart and be happy with family and friends in Germany. My heart is also in America since 1976, but I live in Norway, and I have been blessed to be able to travel back and forth for all this years. Keep on enjoying both life’s blessing.🇳🇴

Keep on doing what you’re doing. We are glad you decided to spend more time in Germany. Use the opportunity to reacquaint yourself, enjoy family and friends, and show us your homeland. Maybe you can even venture farther afield into Berlin, Munich, etc. Take a few more months there. We love it all! Say “hi” to your Mom! She’s delightful!

My respects. I'm an immigrant from Europe as well who have lived in L.A. for 20+ years, I totally share your feelings.
I understand exactly how you feel. I am from Europe and have been living in America for over 30 years. My mom lives in the old country and I try to make my way there as often as I can. The older I get and the older my mom gets, that need and feeling of urgency to spend more time with my mom gets stronger. I will be travelling to Europe in a couple of months and I cannot wait.
It's better life in Europe, than in USA? I am planning visit USA. I am from Croatia, live in Ireland. Any recommendations which city to visit?

Life is too short, Mike! Do what makes you happy!! I am sure, your mom is super happy!! I understand, about feeling safe, w/ your mom. I felt the same way w/ mine. You look super happy, in Germany & I love all the videos, so far. I never have been to Germany. Have a great day, Mike & hello to your mom!!
Damn bro, your mom's home has a very warm feeling to it.
Such a pretty house, love the garden too.
Absolutely true. He is so sweet and good inside.
@peprzpix Yes! They are so cute together. I'm happy he's with her.
Hello Mike you don't have to explain, everyone knows family time is important and your mom is very happy to see her son again, so take whatever time you need and have as much fun as yous can and enjoy it. spending time with people that you love most is what matters most in life and it's always time spent, you'll never regret.
Thanks for all the great videos man, Take care out there Best Wishes!!
Trust me Mike, so many of us totally identify with all you said in this video, especially about being “home “ and what that means, your thoughts on the US, your relationship with your mother, and how sometimes you just need to follow your instincts. We see you brother, take care . KJ from Portland.
Congratz to 273K figures & climbing 👍👍👍
Mike hope all is good with you and your mom. Be well and take care!
Don’t worry. Germany is your homeland. You’ve been so far away from home and now you’re back and you’re enjoying it more. I live in Los Angeles and my dream is to someday move to Germany. Your videos are very inspiring and no matter what you do, I will always support you, and I think it’s safe to say, we all will.
Everyone want what they don't have I wanna live in US, Central Europe is exhasuating me after 17 yrs of being here. Btw why not Czechia or something there are better states out there in EU. Don't do that US is better.
If I could speak German I'd move to Berlin. That's a great city.
@@EdDunkle Berlin isn't that wild, almost every second person speaks English
LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE!!!
No need to apologize.
I’m curious to see Germany so I’ll be watching. I’ve never thought about going to LA (probably will never get that desire) but I ended up watching a video of yours about homeless camps and throughly enjoyed tour content.
Show us the good and the bad!
You can go to LA and fix the problem
You can film anywhere in the world Mike, your personality is all that is needed. My empathy for your loss!!
German In Venice (Germany), I can not 'like'this video enough!! This series of videos have definitely been some of the best! I love getting to know Germany! Most of all, your precious Mom has absolutely been such a blessing to me. Her joy and kindness just shine so brightly! Having lost my Mom unexpectedly in 2019 was, and still is, the hardest events of my life. You wanting to spend more time with your beautiful Mom needs NO explanation whatsoever! Make every moment count and don't worry about us, we're not going anywhere! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Mom and friends and adventures with all of us 🌏🌎🌍🙏💝💐
*I haven't seen enough of Germany yet🤭 Thanks to you, it is definitely going on my bucket list! Take care and hugs to your Mom!
Hola from Mexico brother I really understand the way you feel that’s one of the reasons I moved back to Mexico after 25 yrs living in America , spend time with your mom and enjoy her cooking and everything you can with her . Saludos 🖖
It's gotta feel good to be back in Germany after all these years. What a beautiful country it looks like, too.
Humans belong in Israel
Your channel isn't about Venice and it's not about a German in Venice. Your channel is about YOU! We love the videos no matter where you are!
I vote for "German at Mom's House". :) I've learned so much! Do what works for you. I know Adam would agree that it is important at a certain time in one's live to steer things back in the direction of spending time with the family. America is great and it isn't so great. Again, do what works for you. Xoxo
i vote *German-finds-a-wife* it will make him happier

Ok Im 5 min in the video and in tears, like I said before my husband and I watch you together so I’m gonna stop here and watch it the rest of the evening, but what I have to tell you is I totally understand as a mother of adult children, as humans we are meant to be together ✨💜👏💪 you’re mom needs you right now, and that feeling that you were talking about sounds like, that feeling of being home again, it’s love, nurturing, happiness, family and childhood friends.... you got this bro, you’re at a fork in the road of your life , and we’re here to support you in any way through these tough emotional time’s 💜💪🏋️♀️👏, condolences on the loss of your friend and your uncle 😭💗🙏
So fake,
You were in tears??😄
You are a very special person in this world and do not ever forget it!
We always enjoy watching your videos! Glad you decided to stay in Germany 🇩🇪 for a while longer with your mom ❤
This was an awesome video, Mike! Yes, we understand what you are saying - we get it! We have fallen in love with you mom; and, have so enjoyed seeing her so happy over the past few weeks. Doesn't really matter when you are, Mike, as long as you keep uploading your adventures, thoughts, and feelings so we can spend time with you via UA-cam. You are an awesome person, a wonderful son, and, we love all that you share with us - so just FOLLOW YOUR HEART, your fans and friends are with you.
Your living the life man. Much respect.
I love your mother’s hydrangeas, she’s an amazing gardener! I think you should spend as much time with her as you can, life is so short and she seems very precious to you.
So proud of you brother mom's come first in life and do what makes you happy, I came to Koln Germany in 2016 and honestly I'm thinking about living/retiringin Germany some day, I'm working hard in California so I can retire early hopefully, maybe I'll see you there someday 🍻😊
Sounds great. Germany is a globally underrated country and Köln plus citizens is known for it's uniquely positive vibe. Be well wherever you decide to live, Greetings from Heidelberg
I'm enjoying the videos in Germany more than the ones in Venice! Enjoy your time with your mom, she is a sweetheart❤
Humans are from Israel so you should go back to israel
Ja, listen to your heart and be happy with family and friends in Germany. My heart is also in America since 1976, but I live in Norway, and I have been blessed to be able to travel back and forth for all this years. Keep on enjoying both life’s blessing.🇳🇴
We’ve really grown to love your channel. No matter where you’re located… Venice, Germany, or beyond, you have a great presence, joy, and realism that you bring to us each week.
Being in a place you feel safe is PRICELESS. I'm so glad you listened to your inner voice telling you to stay. We've been enjoying your Germany videos more than ever. Maybe if you stay even longer you can do some videos in France or Italy... So many opportunities.
I am happy that you are spending more time with your mom. I am glad you are safe. I will still watch your videos and like learning about Germany.
Good choice. I wish you all the best in Germany & Gogo of course.
Venice Beach maybe cool, but Germany is in your heart and soul, my friend. Please give your mom a big hug!
Seeing the smile on your Mom’s face says it all. She just beams with love and pride for you. Cherish every minute of your time together and enjoy your homeland. Love from West Virginia, USA.

GIV, this made me cry. I remember when I seen my first video of you a year ago about the homeless in Venice And am so proud and happy where you are now. I completely understand why you stayed. You felt homesick and didn't wanna leave your mom. I respect that 💯 I'll always support and watch your videos. Whether if it's in Germany or back in LA. Keep doing what you do, enjoy the pleasures of life I wish you nothing but positivity and blessings. Your a great guy GIV

So happy for you Mike. Spend that time in your safe zone and with your Mom. That is what’s truly important. Your heart is GOLD 💕
You're a sweet guy GIV, and your mom deserves a ton of credit for that.
Suggestion--It be nice to see some more of Germany outside your area there...Munich, Berlin, etc. Maybe even Holland and Denmark.
Venice, Italy!!
Hi Mike, I've recently started watching your videos as I've started learning German. This video just made me subscribe. There is something about your good natured heart that I really connect with. The world needs more people like you who seems to just get what life is all about. You and your mom are FREAKING adorable and I'm really wishing the best for you bud. Keep up the great message!
Mike, you have to do what's in your heart, everything else will fall into place and when you feel the time is right, you will fly home to America. I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your home country with me. I have loved watching all your videos from Germany. You have given me, my own personal tour guide, to your home country, into my home country, here in Australia. That's the power of the modern world we all live in.
