You sir, are a saviour! You have literally just saved me from destroying the boots on my old rusty axles and given me the confidence that I can repair them myself without worry of replacing parts! Not to mention, I no longer need to buy new axles thinking mine were un-saveable!.
Hey man, with the car tilted (axle side that’s being removed) on the drivers side up… passenger side on the ground… when I pull the axle, will I need to refill the t-case?
You shouldn’t!! This actually happened to me and tomorrow I’m uploading a video on a axle change so you will see! If you have the car flat or on the side like you said you won’t have any fluid come out and you will be good!! Watch tomorrows video and you’ll see fluid come out because of my mistake!
funny i watched this vid a couple weeks ago and today when I did my oil change I saw a ripped drivers side boot fml. But good thing this is a diy vid thx
My cv axle started spewing grease after I installed coilovers and went for an alignment, it makes a clunk when I turn slowly sometimes. Is it too far gone to replace the boot or will I have to replace the cv axle

Is it normal for alittle bit of transfer case oil to leak when pulling the axle? Or does that mean the seal is bad?
Normal
