- Louie encounters some trouble with a high school bully.
(For those of you upset that I cut the rest of the scene, I only uploaded THIS part to illustrate the great acting of the thug and how intense this part of the scene was. I wasn't really considering what happens after the thug leaves, but more of what he said while he was in the cafe.)

The guy playing the Bully is a real good actor, really good.
+Scott Lee Clayton you really feel scared for louie, the guy's incredible!
+Sam Blanchard I know, he just nails it.
+Scott Lee Clayton made me wanna fight someone, that's how good his acting was
+Scott Lee Clayton He kind of reminded me of Joffrey. The actor who played that was also very good
***** bore off.
I'm sad now.
Why? It's a bogus situation anyhow. A person who is a bully isn't going to go into that length of discourse if they have violent tendencies.

I started BJJ because of this scene. Crazy to realize it was nearly 12 years ago and I’m almost a black belt. The scene still brings out the fight or flight sensation in every man. Perfect scene.
On the other hand if you kick his ass in front of the lady it might also make you lose her: women tend to be afraid of men who can go brutal. Obviously still better than being a p****y, but just for the record.

Hey, I’ve been wanting to start BJJ because I want to be a better dancer, any advice?
Didn’t really come in handy for Tom MacDonald huh?
When can we see you battle again ?
Shouldn't have cut off the ending. That's what defines this scene.
totally agreed. it just makes everything sadder or whatever you wanna call it.
Absolutely. The dialogue with his family on Staten Island is key too. This episode is a work of art.

What was he gonna fight a high school bully and then go home to his daughters and kiss em goodnight all cool about it? He was outnumbered anyway. They both would have got their asses kicked
@mellamosean
Fucked up hand means he hurt his hand. Which means he doesn't really know how to fight and is mostly peer-backed surface bravado.
Sorry! I got a surge of testosterone watching this!
Later on in the episode, Louie follows the kid home and confronts his parents. In response, the dad slaps the shit out of the kid and embarrasses him in front of Louie, causing Louie to ciriticize their parenting.
Really?
Is there complete video of this?
Seriously. I want to watch that happening.@@chaosawaits
I was expecting the dad to team up with his son and kick his ass.
Where can you even find this show anymore? I saw the whole thing twice while it was on Netflix before it got taken down, which is complete bullshit
He recently mentioned on the Joe Rogan Experience that that this scene is based off an actual event that occurred when he was in high school.
Damn, guess Louie has been a weak beta his entire life then. Sad.

Apotheosis Well, he made the wrong decision, which sure makes for great commentary on gender roles and ties back in to the carnal nature of dating by setting himself up for certain failure, but the bully played a mind game with Louis and Louis failed, nobody in his right mind would have beat up a white, professional looking middle-aged man in a diner with several witnesses, that's just fucking stupid. Maybe Louis realizes this, but he sells the bully short, assuming he's capable of such stupidity by not giving him the benefit of the doubt if only to save his own ass, which unnecessarily reveals weakness to the woman. What he should've done is turned it around on the kid by either debunking his claim of not knowing or caring about what he might do to Louis even after he potentially apologizes, and juxtaposing that next to whether not he should say sorry, concluding he doesn't have to say sorry and won't since it apparently doesn't factor in to what the bully does, either way the decision is up to him to make the first move, Louis is simply an older man enjoying his meal and doesn't have to take such easy bait. Either that or he could've just retorted that he's a famous comedian and might sue the bully and his family into poverty, but he doesn't know yet, depends on how he's feeling after he's finished his meal peacefully. Or he could've merely ignored him and waited for his attention span to drop, the point is there are a plethora of options at his disposal here to getting out of this dilemma gracefully and he takes absolutely none of them. While Louis is technically right in doing so, as he took the pity ploy route which is effectively guaranteed safety, he had a myriad of more redeemable options that wouldn't have cost him the date, so the move is just blatantly cowardly. That's not attractive to anyone, let alone a woman.
Yes you are quite right about the myriad of options Louie has. However keep in mind that this is an unexpected situation that arises and probably catches him off guard.
Physically he doesn't stand a chance against the guy let alone 5 of them. They are football players who are visible athletic and in their prime while Louie is a middle aged overweight man who doesn't do any kind of physical activities.
The way the guy gets in Louie's face doesn't give him any time to think and is intended to intimidate him and throw him off. I probably would have reacted aggressively just to save face. However you could end up very bad doing this (keep in mind these kind of people usually don't think rationally).
technicality1 true
I like your spelling man!
@@cainm6375 One can't assume the Bully will act rationally. In New York right now, crime is out of Control so whether the Police would even try to purse this case if the Bully and Louis got into a big is questionable.

When I first saw this scene I was like don’t tell those guys to shut up. If you’re not ready to fight don’t put yourself in that situation
I always thought about that too…telling a group of hyped up young guys to shut up is just terrible strategy…he should of just walked over and said “ hey guys I’m
Trying to get some tail…but she can’t here my lines…I haven’t fucked in 6 months and I need this ass..if I buy a round drinks or whatever can you give some quiet time? “ I’d think they be cool with that
The best thing to do is to not start anything. These are athletic high school jocks that comes in groups, there’s not a chance you could fight them all or even educate them in the slightest. Avoid interacting with them is most wise.

Yep. Puffed up to look tough for the girl and it backfired pretty quick.
This basically sums up the whole feel of public school
It was the parochial kids that said I was a "Bastard" because my parents divorced. It was a Catholic kid that introduced me to.drugs. it was a Baptist kid that knocked out my front tooth ($1200 in1982 dollars oral surgery) It was a Methodist kid that told the cops I stole my music gear...I had the recipts when the detective came to check my serial #s. My Public school friends helped me quit alcohol, played in my music groups and showed up at my family funerals , holidays... etc...
One of the basic concepts of all martial arts is to avoid confrontation.
So.... what is the correct way to handle such a situation:
- They could've left in the first place: Isn't this weird, should you have to leave a place because a group is being unruly? Are you going to hop from place to place every time someone makes some noise? Also, how could Louis have known what would happen when he engaged them? Although it is the safest option, both in regards to saving face and being out of harm's way.
-Louis could surprise attacked the bully: And then? Either he beats the bully bad enough that his friends are scared and just get out of there taking the bully with them, which means you have opened up yourself for a lawsuit. Or they gang up on you, even if you take the bully out, there is no way you can get out without getting beaten to a pulp 1v4. Or worse... you can't even beat the bully and you're humiliated and beaten.
-Louis could have acted exactly like in the video: Feelings of emasculation and humiliation. His date leaving (although she really wasn't a catch to begin with if this is the case). Maybe still get beaten.
-Take out a gun/knife etc: Risky. First of all, if you take out a weapon, you have to be willing to use it. Best chance he backs down and you look like a psychopath to your date (if she is sane). Or you shoot stab the bully... and go to jail? Or worst situation you get cold feet and don't use your weapon, get beaten and you lose your legal high ground. All of these are shit options.
-Stay at home and watch UA-cam. Best option?
Love watching this show here and there, but seriously it puts a lot of situations in front of you and it just doesn't give any advice does it...
go to classy places where there are less chances.
also, go to gym ... learn martial arts.
For me, there are a few things that bother me. First, the odds aren't good. Second, he's standing over me while I'm seated. Third, if the guy is threatening to leave me in a condition that he left the other guy in and the macho thing to do is protect the woman, then the state of insanity I would have to put myself into to have even a chance of just making the guy regret having bothered would make it difficult to prevent her from becoming collateral damage.
I think the only thing to do here is hold your ground. Definitely not beg for mercy. And ask the girl to step back/outside. Hold your ground and clear the field so no bystanders get hurt. My opinion.
The correct way leave and take her back to your place where it’s more quiet and open a bottle of wine

DrNickRiveria lol
Damn, nice catch.
A real man would not have to ask that question.
Why is she on a date w/Mr hands-on Hand Me Down? Tho ya gotta "hand" it to 'em
There are so many better ways of handling this...
1. No longer engage with him, be completely silent, take your date by the hand and leave.
2. Deescalate the situation with your words or with humor. I mean he is a Comedian, right?
3. Repeat yourself calmly & monotonously "Leave us alone"... "Leave us alone."... "Leave us alone."...
4. (Lie) "You should know that assaulting an officer is a serious crime. Leave now and I'll forget that you threatened one."
5. Test to see if the bully is fully committed because this can still just be a bluff in an attempt to appear tough or cool in front of his friends. "I'm not fighting 5 vs 1. I only fight 1 on 1."
etc etc etc
You can always Walk Away OR De-escalate the situation without being a bitch about it. Because rolling over on your belly and being a submissive victim is the worst thing you could possibly do. Everyone is now a worse off person because of weak inaction like this. Obviously for yourself and your self esteem as a Man. In respect to that Woman who definitely should NOT fuck you because you're a cowardly loser who can't protect her. And even to those High School Kids!!! Who will continue going around bullying people because you've enabled them by not confronting them or even standing up for yourself...
#4 is the only one that sounds viable. Seems naive to think otherwise. Even leaving might not work if the bullies are committed. What's to stop them from following you?
@@susieq360 they are all viable options… I’ve witnessed or used every variation of one of these. Sometimes it works out very well and sometimes it doesn’t. But doing what Louie did is literally the WORST option.
Although it's a really good scene as is, it might have been interesting and quite "Louie" for them to break the kid down and embarrass him psychologically, like comedians do with hecklers, asking him why he has such a desire to physically dominate random strangers... although this version is obviously more realistic and sad, so also typically "Louie".
Yh but I think it's not really smart getting sassy with a bunch of bullies, you're just gonna irritate them more
Yeah that's what happens on TV all the time, we've all see the cliche where the hero just talks the bully out of it; and obviously Louie thought the audience was tired of having their intelligence insulted.
This is more realistic, since bullies are only encouraged by talk, and you never KNOW what they're gonna do.
I'm a belligerent idiot, I would have got my arse kicked
Samuel Jenkins I know right!?! Nursing a black eye and bloody nose and laughing my ass off.
I might have sucker punched him in the balls, if it got to this point. Louie did the smart thing, but not as smart as leaving earlier. He also got out of it gracefully, without being a sniveling coward, which is admirable. And he learned that this woman is an impossible fool- which is good to know.
There was nothing graceful about his submission to a high-school kid.
I box and I just started BJJ. I would have def punched the bully if he started saying all that shit to me, but I have no problem saying that if his friends got involved, I’d get wrecked (hell I might even get wrecked by the bully, you never really know how tough someone is until you see them throw down).

Am I the only one who finds it utterly hilarious that those kids seem to have a common ritual where they all chant "EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT" as one guy puts another guys head up to his ass?
this scene, and other fearsome bullying moments (opening scene of Nocturnal Animals with Jake Gyllenhaal) are my worst nightmares. I can get my ass beat up when I'm alone, the fright of ending disabled, I "can" cope with that. But failing to protect my loved ones would break me. I wouldn't stand a chance even in an adrenaline rush. I don't think I could keep my composure like Louie did. what a nightmare. makes you consider self-defense and stuff. obviously, the woman's reaction is so cringy I don't mind as much.
and if that is true don't you think your wife knows it...she must love you for other reasons.
The toughest guy can lose all the same man. Just be aware of your surroundings.
A man who really understands self defence would act like the man sitting down .. he is in a very poor position at that table, he cant move fast and cant therefore generate explosive power and their are 5 of them that's a almost certain loss and possibly death don't let `pride` kill you
Just relax
And the woman did exactly what is normal - She got the ick because a man failed to be a man.
Be dangerous but disciplined. Be the man who can and will fight to protect and serve if need be. Be dangerous. Otherwise, you're pathetic. Make no mistake, dangerous doesn't mean you need to fight. Being dangerous shows that you're a threat if you're messed with. Being disciplined means you're not a threat unless you need to be. You're not a danger to the ones around you, only to the ones looking to inflict harm.
Its a ghost restaurant ,food is present but no staff.
Honestly I dated someone who would have had me try to fight them and get my ass beat. Some women are like that, they can't understand why their boyfriend would be hesitant to fight somebody and possibly get hospitalized. A good women in this situation would tell the kid to fuck off, because she wouldn't expect her date to stoop down to that level. This kid isn't gonna attack her. Loui maybe. She should stand up for him when she can and he'll be there to stand up for her when he can. But every situation is different. The guy can't just beat up anyone who annoys his girl, especially if he's not a professional fighter. That's insane to expect that.
If the woman did that, it'd likely still end up injurious. As a woman, I'd rather just say for my date and I to leave. Appetite completely lost anyway...
Men are supposed to be the ones defending their family or girlfriend/wife. It dosent matter if you might not win you have to defend her anyway. Its what good men do. The ones that do nothing are pussys who cant defend themselves

If this isn't workout motivation I don't know what is
This is why you should work out, not to fight, but so little kids don't try and press you to show off in front of their friends.
We could also try raising better kids, if your kid is like this your seriously fucking up
The first time I saw Louis CK was in the back of this produce market in Kansas City which was about as close to Las Vegas as the Midwestern bosses go without getting themselves arrested. I mean, nobody even knew. One guy even made his mother do all the cooking.
what's all this talk in the comment section about fighting back? neither you nor Louie would do that, and we can be 100% certain his character WOULDN'T, so what's even the point?
Who the fuck knows kid, who the fuck knows...
Louie wouldnt fight back it would have ruined the show if he did its not in his character but I am sure we can all agree those kids deserve to be beaten to a pulp. It wold humble that little punk if he was left paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life. We all encounter people like this in life and frankly its perfectly normal to fantasize about doing something horrible to them.
Some people are just different mentally
Last time I was in a similar interaction, I collected a couple of punches on me and then ended up in custody. Months later, the prosecutor dropped the felony charges against me citing articles from the Penal code in regard to self defense. The broad conclusion was that had anyone gotten shot, it would have been on them. The little shits had the fright of their lives. Anyway, I had my gun returned, but not a fun time, I can tell you that.
Since then, I really let shit slide and don't get involved, because luck runs out sooner or later. In that case there was a recording of what happened and it was attached to the investigation, but had there not been one, I would have been in much more trouble. In cases like this you either get roughed up badly or end up facing trial.
Anyone even once being on the receiving end of this would answer with pre-emptive violence against the punk attacker. That is how many innocent prisoners there are.
@@petersonlafollette3521 Under our laws, if you strike first under such circumstances, it is deemed being under provocation and is a mittigating factor, but you are still charged because you started the violence and that is still under the penal code. Provocation is and mouthing off are not. I found out the hard way that a bunch like that poses a threat in at least two ways - even if they don't jump you, they later testify and it is one against six witnesses. The good thing about such punks is that they lack a grown man's intelligence, experience and composure and easily crack under pressure. In my case when police called in witnesses, the little shits all showed up expecting to bad mouth me. Had they not naively come themselves, no one would have gathered them up, because I didn't now them. Anyway, they arrived all cocky at the police and instantly realized their mistake, because the police stated confronting them with evidence and cracked their lies. So they did the most logical thing - started ratting on each other to save their skins. Some almost got crying for mama and one even went so far as to show what a good citizen he was and offered his phone with pictures of his buddies in order for me to identify them easier. Let me tell you, it was disgusting, regardless that it easily made my case, besides the recording - when everything started, I was already on the phone with the police which of course is recorded.
@@petersonlafollette3521 As far as prisons go, based on initial testimony on the scene after I was taken away to the police station, the charges against me would have been threat with murder and attempted murder?! Not a fun time, even though the police and the prosecutor said the next day that it was all apparent BS and the case was getting dropped in due time, but nevertheless had to go its standard course. So the following months I had my gun in custody and had to take measures if for some reason this had gone to court. Utter nonsense and not worth it.
@@alatus7242 Thanks for your story here.
@@alatus7242 That's what's compelling here- to not react and lose face, to bluff, or to engage? Threat of serious injury was presented from antagonist. To mitigate that would lesson it, but odds were violence would escalate. Start with the path of least resistance.
It seems like there's an easy solution. Tell the kid that you know what he looks like, you know what high school he goes to, and you know his name. It would be very easy to identify him to the police if he does anything. And he would wind up in jail
you are operating under the assumption that this kid cares or even has the capacity to control his impulses based on that information. Most criminals are fully aware that their actions put them at risk of imprisonment yet they do those acts anyway. so your solution is great in theory, but in real life there are too many loose cannons for you to bank on that.

Was he rt or wrong?
This seems so stupid to me. Yeah the police is always an option later but this type of situation can easily lead to death if done the wrong way. Get tf out of there by either running away or pleading..
@@kingkyah If you tell them that you're going to report their description, name, highschool, etc. to the authorities, it will likely deter them from committing assault in broad daylight this particular situation. Hell, you could even call the police right then and there. Tell the operator that a group of guys are physically threatening you. I can guarantee they'll all want to leave before the cops show up.
Running away is good idea if you're by yourself. Personally, I would never run away if I was with a woman though. Not out of pride or anything. But running away would possibly leave her in danger.
That's a really shitty situation to be in. What was the right thing to do?
I think that louie did the right thing in this situation
...surprise him with a really quick left hook and don't stop...
Like that one guy said, the best thing would be to get up and leave. These guys are obviously potential trouble (teenage, loud, and insecure), so i would avoid interacting with them at all. When I was that age, i would look for a reason to punch someone in the face. So if you don't want to get in a fight, you go somewhere else. That said, he berated those kids to please the woman- who's the crux of this ordeal. And it's interesting to note that he couldn't have done anything to please her. Leave, get beat up, turn the other cheek- you can't win.
And this is why I went to prison ....
been waiting for that my whole life. Punk.
I couldn't finish watching this for some reason. Like I was embarrassed for louie and mad at the same time. Its weirdz
He puffed up by giving them an order then shriveled when they came back at him. Interesting dynamic at play
This scene repeats in my mind every once in a while. I'm always at a loss for how to handle it. I find myself thinking, what would GSP do? I have trained but I'm not violent and anything can happen in a fight, at that range, or with his friends nearby. There's really no right answer here. I would never want to fight some reckless kid, nor would I feel comfortable if he was all up in my face. I would probably be triggered and make the mistake of reacting, but I think Louie's character actually handled it the best way. How would you react?
You handle it by not telling rowdy people you don't know to be quiet. Just leave the place
You pull the magnum
@@vincenthalas7055they’ll back up from feat when you pull out that gold magnum trojan
Somehow I came across this video. I really don't know where it's from or who the actors are but it really got my heart pumping. I was hoping the ending would be the red haired guy going Van Dam on the kid and his buddy's. Really good acting though .
I've been thinking about her response (which is not in the video btw) for years. For those of you who didn't see the full scene she tells Louie that this scene made him unnatractive to her and gets up and leaves. The easiest thing to jump to is that figthing gets you status like it does for other animals (and he should have fought the bully)but I think humans are more sofisticated than that. See, from her perspective Louie is faced with a problem and the way he deals with it is pretty bad. The solution isn't necesarily to fight in this kind of situation. Most women nowdays would probably even be turned off by you fighting. Men have to be competent. You don't pick a fight with a thug, that's stupid and shows how naive you are. You make the best with what you get and in this scenario the best choice would have probably been to leave before the whole thing got ugly.
But realistically this also would have "turned off" his date because he is "running" before there is even a confrontation. There really is no "right move" for Louie in this situation. If it were me (I know we are all hero's behind a keyboard) I would have excused myself and went up to the kids and politely talked to them and asked them to have some respect for the other customers there and give them an opportunity to save face and not feel like "some old guy just told us to shut the fuck up". Of course this still likely would result in these assholes picking a fight (it is clear they are itching to fight) in which case I would let the kids know that because I'm too old to take a ass beating, I legally carry a gun and WILL use lethal force if they want to threaten my life. While I was saying that, I would have been creating distance between us so if they came at me I'd have plenty of time to draw my weapon.
I not one to look for a fight but I'm also not one to die over the impulses of violent people either.
@@nickdipaolofan5948 At the end here after inserting yourself into the fictional scene, you talk about your real nonfictional life. Do you actually really carry a concealed gun that you would use if threatened?
@@Mr.Swankly yes, I do. Like I said, the real world is dangerous. I have carried for years and never had the need to use it or even let anyone know I had a firearm on me. I am not someone looking to get into an altercation. But if someone does threaten to beat the shit out of me (that is clearly rare) then I do plan on defending myself.
Well obviously a woman doesn't want to be with a coward. Don't twist cowardice into virtue. So many modern men mask their cowardice with virtue. Women don't want a violent guy out of control but this wasn't that situation. This was a situation where a dude was threatening to him and to the woman for no reason. He didn't pick the fight, the fight picked him and he was a straight up coward. That's the lesson. If you are a coward then you can only ever pray that you are never put in this situation so it can be revealed for the world to see. Cowardice is not a small issue. It's evil.
Even if you can't back it up: "I dunno, when was the last time you got stabbed alot and bled-out in a McDonalds, holding your guts in for an ambulance that never comes?" is maybe worth replying with.
I'll tell you the most underrated part. The writing, this is Louis show Louis direction and Louis writing. He put himself in that humiliating position. I can't tell if he's self sadistic or has brass balls of confidence.
Maybe he's illustrating that life is pain and things can be deeper than what we see.
The original airing of this scene was my introduction to this show- was immediately hooked
In an alternate reality the bully didn’t realize that he was Jon jones dressed like Louie.. rest is history
It's sad to see that a guy like Louie would be called weak, when in fact he's being smart, otherwise he'd be doing exactly what the bully is doing by protecting his ego. A woman that sees weakness through this doesn't understand how ones ego is fragile and how another's isn't.
A 40 year old man would regret it regardless of kicking a high school kids ass or not. And that woman he was with didn't understand that.
The moment he takes to do nothing other than invade their space is just perfect.
Lesson of the day: work out.
Aside from havin gun, BEST COMMENT ON HERE!!!!!!!!!!
Too hard, pack heat.
It doesnt matter if you have a 6 pack or a huge gut what chance do you have against 5 or 6 people get real bro
Working out isn't going to magically teach you how to fight, although if you get swole enough it might make you just intimidating enough that they think twice about starting shit.
once you're 45 the gym doesnt mean shit anymore - a fit jock 20 yr old will probably kill even a fit 45 yr old - the gym is not the answer here
Luey, knew that he could destroy these kids, but really stroked their egos knowing, that they survived by by walking, emasculated away...
Lmao He got Bitched in front of his girl I wonder what made him write the scene like this… she was so disappointed ⚰️🤣
As a grown up man, tuff position. I actually had a situation like this last night. Guy wanted to throw down in the middle of the street because we got stuck in a single lane traffic tight street and he wouldn't pull over. I had my 7yo in the car and had to explain that we're backing all the way down the street for him because he clearly has nothing to lose. It's a weird moment for a man who fears no man. Middle age is so weird.
As soon as he says he wants to kick my ass he feels the .45acp enter his left knee.
In real life this conversation would ends so quickly. Nobody would prolong a ass kicking this long 😂😂😂
Yes they would. It's psychological warfare to start with. Gauging your opponents, and learning how they will react if you start a fight. Are they going to get up and fight back? Are they going to cower? Are they going to cave and just do everything the bully requests?
You watch too many highschool fights.
i am shook by the amount of people that think louis' character did the right thing here. A mans gotta stand his ground and not buckle to bullies. The risk is the he gets beat but at least he doesnt lose his dignity, which is worth infinitly more. Like are you gonna let anyone do what they want with you because you dont like conflict. This is a great lesson for all men
The solution to this was actually easy. Louie could’ve suggested to the girl that they go somewhere else, without addressing the kids at all.
Those youngsters we're full of typical teenage I can take on the world. What is disgusting is the apparent lack of respect that young smartass has for the gentlemen in front of the lady. If I did that and my Dad would've found out about it, he would have kicked my ass period. My Father was a Korean War vet and from the old school and it only took one beating from him and it got the message across!!
what a chad
The kid was wide open to have his face slammed into the table.
This is why I pack heat.
George Henry Wouldn't need to kill him. And yes, people do need guns. A shitbag like that guy would have learned a valuable lesson by now if more people in that show's universe were law abiding concealed carry permit holders.
+George Henry I don't think you understand what a kid is. The guy had enough brains to make a choice to weather or not beat louie to a pulp. Kids don't know any better but this guy did. So he is a grown man to me. I dont want to pull out the race card but if the guy was black we would all want a death penalty or something. Im asian by the way.
George Henry Who are you talking to?
Fine... "the general public would want some sort of extreme punishment". I dont care if im racist i think everyone is a little inside. I'm not scared of being racist. I just wanted to put the race thing out there so people who think there is nothing wrong with this can get another prospective.
. You're not scarred of being racist, and yet you don't use your real name on youtube...
It's not the guy, it's the whole posse. One guy doesn't scare anybody. Hell, the lady could take him.
hey its the dude from Mr robot
ya i recognise him too. The hacker
Last time I got my as kicked was 1976. Heard a noise in the garage. Found two guys stealing a bicycle. Sucker punched me.Left me beaten & unconscious on the street. Needed dental work and surgery. Small town. No arrests. No restitution/fines. They walked in Court. Month or two later one of them died in a horrible car accident. High speed crash into a tree....
This episode was Louie's "College" moment.
I knew a guy like that too…a former enforcer for the Gambino Family in New Orleans…nice guy….Retired to the country.. People started stuff w him like the punk..I saw it happen one time…Over a pool game in a little hick bar..He didnt act like Louie though…That would have been 1978….I actually saw the aggressor a couple years ago at WalMart…still hobbling around on his cane…Everything from the knees down was pulverized….as in stomped into powder…
If you dont know somebody, taking his looks at face value is wrong…..jmo
should have stood up immediately. Never stay seated.
The way this kid was acting, LCK had numerous opportunities to catch the punk off guard and dismantle him, even from an initially seated position. The kid's injured hand is your first target. Pull down and twist. Then you begin repeated the blows to his right temple. Problem child incapacitated. Under New York Penal Law Article 35, you may use physical force upon another person when and to the extent you reasonably believe such force to be necessary to defend yourself or a third person from what you reasonably believe to be the use or imminent use of unlawful physical force by such other person. To my knowledge, you don't have an exemption to this statute just because you are under 18, as might have been the case in this scenario. Know your state's laws!
Why I often used to carry a small pistol when I couldn't avoid places that tolerated behavior like this. From 1965 to today, I never had to reach for it once. Around 2015, one could finally obtain a concealed-carry license in my state, and I became legal for the first time.
I always sucked at confrontations I am old enough now it rarely comes up so it's a good scene.
I love how louies date ends up playing his mom.
This one worked. Dude is a crazy good actor.
Coffee cup - cupped straight to the chin.
Badda bing badda boom.
The minute he put his hand too close to my face is where I would've twisted his hand. I learned a few simple restraint moves, no fancy karate crap.
This was physically painful to watch.
I was so angry at the scene that I've watch ''Nobody - Bus Scene'' to feel better.
Don't deal with jerks directly, if at all possible. He's in a dinner, complain to the manager. Let him deal with them. And while he does just leave.
Having never heard of or seen this scene before, I was really hoping that the bully was gonna get schooled. Depressing, but a well acted scene.
Same! , I was even thinking of watching the film, in the hope that I see the bully get schooled later on.
@@andrewajjones122 It's a TV show on FX called Louie, not a movie. And trust me, the show sucked when it was on the air. It's been cancelled.
This type of bully is more chilling and unnerving than your obvious shaven headed tattood yob. He initially comes across as unthreatening and pleasant in manner, if socially inappropriate, holding his hand out at face level, and invading the seated couples personal space with his close proximity. This builds to “when did you last get your ass kicked”. Danger alert.
Difficult to stike out while you’re sat down, and when the bully’s friends are also there to back him up.
A totally humiliating situation, but our victim didn’t end up getting his nutrition through a straw in a hospital bed, he got to leave the place intact. We are not all Jack Reachers unfortunately.
Oh yeah. This is prime murder. See I already know that If I was loui and I decided to fight it would be unfair because his boys would jump in. That's why you get guns. Or knives. And know martial arts. So you can legally not hold back. If you kill the bastard, you can just say It was self defense even if you hit first. That's because he had like 10 guys come at you. It is what it is.
Sad thing is I’ve run into people just like that guy in real life. Those are the worst type of human beings.
Bullying is wrong, revenge does nothing
Self-defense is not revenge. Revenge would be trying to stalk the kid and attack him later when he's not expecting anything. Destroying the kid on the spot is self-defense. The kid did, after all, threaten LCK with grievous bodily harm. I would take LCK's case in court.
Honestly if I saw a bunch of highschool dudes like that I wouldn’t have even thought to say anything…not under threat of violence but just cause? I would have assumed they were celebrating a game or something and probably would have moved on…
If i where that situation , i would had left , instead of shouting to a drunken rowdy teens to keep it down, Louie 1st mistake never start something you can't finish 2nd if you did on a date be a man about, he pucked out, no dignity in that!
I lifted weights for at least 5 years straight and didn't get a chance to use it to defend myself. I beat my 2 older brothers in arm wrestling though so it wasn't for nothing. The look on their faces was priceless.
One more reason every adult of sound mind should carry a gun. Something... something... Sam Colt made them equal.
He couldn't fight back because he wasnt wearing any pants
This is why you don't put yourself in a situation like this to start with if you're not a total badass who's ready to fight. Louie wasn't their father, not the manager of the diner, and so it wasn't his place to tell the kids to be quiet. He invited the kids to humiliate him and when it happened he totally shutdown.
Would love to see this kid come up on Ray Shoesmith from Mr Inbetween like this
"How long since you've had your ass kicked?"
"I don't answer questions....."
@@bmphil3400 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was always one of the smallest kids in elementary school. I was also a tomboy who took no stuff from anyone. Only had one fight.
It never hurts as bad as you think it might.
I was thinking that. I’d risk the beating, on the off chance maybe I might ADMINISTER the beating, rather than humiliate myself like that. Pain doesn’t bother me that much, but embarrassment….that’s the worst! Especially in front of a woman.
I saw my local high school team at the pizza buffet. They were very nice but so underweight I told them to get thirds and fourths.
If the woman had any class she would have got up early and left with him and saved him from the pending humiliation.
What's crazy is this is how most people are nowadays. They say people will mature after high school....they don't.
And sorry to be an advocate , but all that was needed is to put the fear into that little guy who didn't know how to punch people . Then disassemble him while fending off some "enthusiastic wingmen" , but focus upon the primary to make an example . That's why we practice forms ( poomse/ Kata/ drills), because it falls into place .
Louis basically wrote any common man's worst nightmare during a date while giving the best possible argument to the opposing side as he could... something that Dostoyevsky was great at too. Highly uncomfortable and the acting was solid too
Yes, the two are comparable.....lololol
@@northwestprof60 teach us.. oh Ukranian Flag profile pic wisdom lord...
It was hard to watch.
The only time I initiated a fight was when i was in middle school, because a kid was picking on me in front of a girl. I drew a red line & he crossed it so I felt I needed to enforce it
Great insight buddy
