Studying the low frequencies of the Kick & Bass. I listen to this track as part of my daily ear training exercise. I've managed to achieve an equal quality kick drum. 2:1, or 3:1 ratio at the kick, with the entire mix being sent to a second compressor at apx.6:1. The 6:1 compressor is set with the attack, such that some excitement of acoustic guitar, vocal S & Ts poke through a bit. The end result is really nice.
