The Nagaoka fireworks Festival Show will launch 20.000fireworks in two nights(2nd and 3rd ,August),
and will be held against the backdrop of the Shinano River,the longest in Japan.
The most spectacular and magnificent fireworks color the summer night sky of Nagaoka,and attract us.
The breathtaking Nagaoka Fireworks will make unforgettable memories in your hearts.

The year after the Nagaoka air raid on August 1, 1954, the Nagaoka citizens rose to reconstruction, holding the "Nagaoka Revival Festival" on August 1, the fireworks display revived in 1954 and celebrated 70 years this year It was.
Looking back on the history of "Nagaoka Fireworks", the thoughts of "memorials", "reconstruction", "prayers for peace" that the predecessors have connected have been born.
The strong feelings put in Nagaoka fireworks have not changed even after 70 years, and are well handed down among us living now.

Well there is some major money spent on that display. It really is one of the best I've seen. Really nice. The ones the looked like daisies were really lovely. 12:14
I was there and I enjoyed it. Except for the train ride at the end. Try to get a hotel early :D
i have so much respect to japanese people and culture, i even more respect their traditional firework festival and i really love japan, im learning japanese for over 6 weeks, and i’m planning to visit Nagaoko one day🇭🇷🇯🇵

I am going to the festival this year and Im really excited! This will be my first time photographing fireworks. Im going to find a space in the free area but I thought you cannot use tripods in the free zone.. how do you take such an amazing video? :o
It is possible to use a tripod if the height of the head sitting on the ground in the free area
Be careful not to bother the people behind you

Accommodation near Nagaoka on August 2nd and 3rd may be difficult. . . . Bus tours are recommended if you have any

@@MHide I had found some accommodation, but didn't book them, now all booked. but no big issue only 1 hour with the Shinkansen from Takasaki, can you watch the fireworks from both side of the river? :)

There are seats on the east and west sides across the river
The east side (close to the station) is mainly paid seats
The west side has a lot of free seats
This shot is taken from the free seat
If you can buy a ticket, we recommend the east side of the pay seat.
The reason is that there is a station on the east side, but if you try to cross the bridge from the west side there is considerable distance

What ISO, shutter speed and F-stop were you at with your Sony camera? Is that a Nikon FX 14-24 lens? This has great color throughout from the golds to the silvers.

I changed the ISO manually up to about 6400
SS is 1/30
The F value was about 4 to 11 and it was squeezed so as not to jump in white at the current brightness
Originally I took photos with NIKON so I only had a Nikon lens
I have a Nikon lens because I do not have the budget to buy a SONY lens
