Loved this! I’ve been so busy with work, probably haven’t been out in about 6 weeks! I rode my Compass 80mm today in downtown Raleigh and it was so so great to be back out there
The Kizer 90 rockered frames sound like a competitor to the NN Ninja 90, Endless, and Wizard frames built more for Wizard skating. For tighter transitions forward to back and vice versa. I have the NN Ninja 90 and I agree, they are a little squiggly going fast, but I got use to them. Forces me to have "quiet" feet when gliding to prevent the squiggles. :)
There’s about a 1-2 mil rocker on my Oysi mediums since I have Famus 64mm on the outside & Dead 58mm inside. It caught me off guard riding them the first few times. Definitely squirrelly at first. I did start to get more used to it, I assume it would flatten out a bit as the inner wheels wear.
I find the rocker becomes more pronounced over time, but as it happens gradually you're constantly adjusting to the extra rocker without noticing. Then one day you look at your skates and they're like a bloody see-saw lol
Such a beautiful looking skate. Can't wait to zoom around on the new Scribbles that should get here soon. Wizard Advanced anytime soon?! Great feedback on the V1.
I agree with you on the rocker, feels too ‘obvious’ for me on that frame. I much prefer flat 90mm in comparison, think the rocker would work better on 4 X 100mm setups
Hey you said you think you could have downsized to the 10 shell at 285mm even though the shell is measured at 285mm exact? Only asking because I'm 267mm and debating on if I can downsize into the size 8 with an intuition or 2nd skin liner. The inner shell of the 8 is 265mm so it seems like the math doesnt work there lol. Love your videos by the way.
What kind of camera are you using ? People who ride these fancy rockers, when they reach or close to reaching flat, do they need to reshape their wheels to size to keep that rocker ?
These rockers don't tend towards flat, if anything the rocker tends to increase over time. The rocker is based on the natural wear that forms on a flat frame as the front and back wheels tend to wear quicker. Most people tend to rotate these by flipping wheels to the opposite skate, but in the same position
I haven't skated since I was 15, I'm 32 now just recovered from a acl injury so I've been stuck inside for months but I'm looking to get back into it. What frames would you recommend to start with (big wheel, flat set up, or anti rocker) or does it matter.
If money was no problem, get yourself a 4x80mm skate to start like the FR1 or Rollerblade Maxxum and just go have fun skating again. If you want to get something that will do well for aggressive and big wheel you could look at the Aeon 72. Either way take it slow and enjoy skating before grinding
Riding a rocker means you have to be more deliberate with your forward and backward weight distribution :-). Anti rocker made you lazy that way ;-) You notice you get into it when practicing a little in the video… that’s because you adjust your effort to match what is needed to take advantage of them. The side to side flex of the Factions is due to the outer shell stopping right above the ankles… and the cuff is very flex itself. Some people change out the cuffs for stiffer ones to ‘play’ with the side to side flex of the setup. Anyway… you know all this ;-) Nice video sir!
Definitely one of my favourite big wheel frames right there! I hope they come out with a 100mm version in the future.
Was looking for this video! Thank you.

We need to skate downtown someday!
Your crossovers have really improved since your first rec skating videos.
Loving the looks of that whole setup!

It's so funny when he breaks character lol

I used to work every day at an office park in Mooresville, NC. It was Rolling Hills Lane off 77.

Unlikely, but maybe. I don’t think I have the skill to really know how they are

I was able to ride around my hood without a problem, they are dope, just break in the wheels.
You’re right down the road from Dale Jr. nice
SWIZZELY

Yes, I think I should have gone with the 10. I bet you could make it work
Will this be a replacement for the Seba Sx. Could it be better for Wizard?
Kizer 90s? Ive had 2 pairs, hella dope but i moved on to the 5 wheel wizard frames😎
Nice Video! Can anybody tell me wat de distance is between the mounting points.
Hmm... So, you can't run the USD Carbon's without the sole plate? Bc I was planning on pairing up them with Element 80s.
Technically, you can, but I have heard the carbon is too thin and it might break.
Yeah, that wouldn't be good. The same goes for the Carbon Free's then as well or maybe the plastic is stronger?
i have the same problem with this frame. the 1mm rocker is not my thing. the element 80 is flat, its the better option for us 😅
Would you be able to do a grind on this setup without fear of cracking the carbon or do you need the soul plate for any sort of grinds
I wouldn’t grind on carbon without a soul plate. It will eventually crack
@@BacktoBlading thanks for the info!

I use a GoPro 8 and an Insta360. Not sure about the rotation yet, will see what works for me

@@BacktoBlading your "self-follow" shots with the extender stick look really nice, I might invest in an insta 360 too
@@F1nnyF6 interesting, I never rode any flat or fancy rockers only anti, I might give it a shot this summer, thanks for the heads up :)

What's that sticker on your helmet? Looks a lot like the Coreform logo :)
Chroma wheels logo

Isn't it "swivel" not "swizzle" ?
