Excuse me doctor how can person expel 6 L ? the residual volume is 1.2 L right.. So patient should expel nearly only 4.8 as well as he can .. Right ?

Good video, lacks only the spirometry of an advanced emphysema with the "spire-like" peak flow.

Awesome Chanel and explanations. Thank you for all your dedication. I’m a musician (trumpet player) and hopping you can help me with compression approach. So, looking to musical goals, medical emphasis terms, dynamics and airflow are related to volume or pressure ? Or both ? Dynamics on airflow it’s about intensity, energy, compression, volume, pressure airflow ??? Can you help me please. Keep sharing and stay safe and healthy.

I think it’s worth noting that it’s very hard for a patient to fake the spirometry results because at least 3 acceptable attempts are measured which have to be within 150ml of each other.

Hi Drbeen. Thank you very much for the video Sir. Can I make a suggestion..At 08:35, in the flow-Vol loop graph, it would be more clear if the horizontal Volume line is numbered in descending order in L to R direction. This will give a clear track of the volume in liters numerically along the path of the inspiratory flow curve.
