I like the red IH pickup! When I worked for Auto Trader in the mid 1980s, a co-worker had the Mitsubishi, but here’s was badged a “Dodge?”Colt. The Ford C, I didn’t realize that the emblems make the year! I learned something! The Rambler wgn and the Datsun truck are my picks. The Lady Kenmore is super cool! Grab it! The beetles are always popular. I think the super beetle came out in 1972. Those are some of my picks!
The thing in Whatiz Corner we think is a pole smacker the imbeds i beams into the ground for foundations etc.. Like all your vlogs and your car knowledge is very impressive quite a smart man. My partner is your Australian version with car knowledge and he is getting heaps better with the pre 50's American cars thanks to you. P.S g'day from Australia love your work.
1976-1980 Scout II long wheel base were the “Traveler “ it was available with a pickup half top, or a fiberglass full top with a full, one piece fiberglass tailgate. The Travelall was the full size suburban-like wagon. 1975 was the last year for them and the full size pickups.
The Travelette , I believe was an optional fiberglass fastback style roof for one year of the Scout 800, but I think it still used a steel bottom tailgate.
I had a ‘69 Travelall, I believe it had a 345 cid v8, with a unique very tall manifold. When it finally died, the tow truck struggled to pick it up because they were so heavy.
Nice place to live! Didn't you notice that Volvo 265? The VW Bugs I call "der ewige Käfer" (the eternal Bug) because there's nearly no older Salvageyard without a VW Bug all over the world. If I could, I would buy the whole property ! Greetings from Germany
Man diesel Brothers would like to have all that heavy equipment that's sitting there somebody should contact them and ask if they would be interested in that stuff
80 to 86 f100 interior trim is made of plastic that deteriorates bad an to find good stuff is very hard so you use 87to 96 cab trim the xlt trim inside is not reproduced only the doors an visor an roof trim is an the outside xlt chrome trim is not reproduced nor is the inside chrome on the door trims or wood grain on dash an doors an the aftermarket lights are not the same quality as the ford ones on 74 to 96 an I've polished the originals an they look like new ford ones now an have to rite ford marks on them just thought you mite like to know as anyone restoring one is looking for original parts
What a mess. Hard to believe anyone can let a place go like that....but I had a neighbor who did just that. I was ''working'' there off/on for several years and still didn't see it all.
good strong block building....rotten roof....hard to imagine having so much stuff you can't do justice to any of it. The old saying ''ya can't see the forest for the trees''
Yes and no. A lot had been removed, but it was all of the really bad stuff and late model cars that didn't have collector value. They were hauled for scrap just to make some room, because the place was so full.
That's terrible that idiots come into these old places and steal everything they can. It's disgusting. Why is "NO" written on some of the vehicles? Did the man who owned this place die?
Correct. The place was so full when they began, they had to cut roads by chopping trees, then scrap some of the rougher and newer vehicles which didn't have much collector value. The NO denoted the ones that were not for scrap
Unfortunately a microphone wouldn't have helped. There are probably thousands of those cicadas in that one spot. 360 degrees all around you, there's no escaping them... kind of like a horror movie. I should get ahold of a decibel meter next time and see what it records next time we go out

Fascinating variety. The IHC crawler is neat. It has the Bucyrus Erie lift system
I actually love hearing cicadas sing.
Some great cars out there in the creepy woods!!
Man that’s a real old yard full of cars, trucks & stuff. 😎👍🇨🇦
Boy them cicadas are going nuts.
I haven't done that in a while, used to love digging in old junk piles like that. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
I get a little excited every time I get invited to one of these places!
Nice find guys!.Hope some of these get saved.
This has inspired me to load my truck with junk from my yard and head for the dump tomorrow.
Lot of collectables amongst all that. Hope you picked some up.
Real crome bumpers brings back memories..of the busted knuckles.

Thank you Jan for stopping by the channel! I was short on time filming this, as it was getting dark. My next video will show more Volvos and Beetles.

It's like every one of these vehicles is tied to a Cold Case File.
That place looks to be a better place in the winter time of fall not in the middle of summer because you can't see anything

Man diesel Brothers would like to have all that heavy equipment that's sitting there somebody should contact them and ask if they would be interested in that stuff
I had a dodge colt twin stick. It was a high low range splitter. For fun, you could split each gear.

Hello Istvan! Thank you for stopping by the channel!
They sure liked Int'ls.and Dodges.
Army truck number one is either an M211 or an M135. 211 is the heavier, 2.5 tons.

The postal van looked cool

Mr. Badsocket - what State is this in? Surely that's not Kansas. is it? Somewhere in the deep South?
I laughed when your friend thought you mistook a dodge pickup for a ford,,😅 not mr goodpliers,,
Is there a story? What went on there? You should have a floating head Mr Goodpliers, like Jay Leno's "Beyondo"
place looks like it had a lot more there with spaces were things were so been picked over all ready
Yes and no. A lot had been removed, but it was all of the really bad stuff and late model cars that didn't have collector value. They were hauled for scrap just to make some room, because the place was so full.
Cool place , just don't go inside for Drayton Sawyers famous Chilli
