Love the content dudes! Would be great to get a few more details in the descriptions! For example, what was on that shopping list, breakdown of the recipes ect.
Thank you guys. I’ve lost 35 pounds since March 1st, and it was partly because I made all four meals in this video. I still make them to this day because they’re that tasty, especially the sweet potato soup - that filled me up more than I thought it would! Also, sometimes I replace the rice in the stir fry with quinoa to get extra protein, and that is equally amazing.
I just made this. Took me a bit more than an hour, without a twin and only two pots in my mini kitchen :D It feels great to be prepared for the next eight days. I'm curious whether I will see some result on the scale, next week. I already had a bowl full of the soup and it is very nice. As I already had about half of the ingredients at home, it was a super budget friendly meal prep. I love your more indulgent recipes, but this kind of recipes are really helpful and very welcome, too!
Yo dudes, kidney beans are also just 23 cents a tin at Tesco or Aldi or Lidl and they haven’t got the sugar as the baked beans in tomato sauce have. Saves a few calories and makes it a wee bit healthier 😉 With love from Ennis ❤️
Cheers babs! We'll give it a check. We're Supervalu ambassadors so we like to shout them out when we can. But any recommendations like that are great for the community. 😄😄
@@celinestines5501 You would add tomato paste instead, and some liquid sweetener to taste. Most curries are tomato based, so adding baked beans was a good way to cut that corner. However, as the tomato paste was already on the list for something else, there's still half a tube available for this.
Brilliant. Thanks. I always find un-rinsed baked beans have a terrible 'fart factor' because that element is contained in the sauce. At least with other beans you can rinse it away.
I had the window open while watching this and aparently someone was cooking and it suddenly smelt like onions and garlic when you put them in the pan and I was really amazed for a second. I thought youtube finally made smellevision a thing haha
just a quick recipe. NOTE THIS MAY HAVE WRONG MEASUREMENTS WATCH THE VIDEO AND CHECK: Whole grain rice sweet potato 1kg cloves of garlic ginger salt veg stock 1L 1/2 1 tin coconut milk 11 stalks spring onion 2 obojene soya source 3 tins bake beans curry powder carrot broccoli sesame seeds ground cumin Penney pasta button mushrooms 2 tins chop tomato 1/2 tube tomato tube date syrup porridge w/ oat milk
I keep returnung to this one for more than two years now, whenever I want to lose some weight. Never get tired of it and always lose about 1 to 1,5 kilo. Thank you!
I just wonder, do people actually eat same food every day? Most food preps are like this one... I personally mix and match same ingredients I have to make something slightly different each day. The happy pear - it would be great to see a video where you show how you use same few ingredients for different meals. Thanks xx
Yes, I agree with you. I usually make the longer cooking ingredients (rice, sweet potatoes, maybe a soup) and then combine them in different ways. But some really busy weeks it's good to know that the food is already done in the fridge.
It can get a bit boring after a few days some hot sauces and jazz things up. Or if you change up your starches, bread, pasta or potatoes. 😄😄 Great idea though we'll definitely give the one a go.
Just did this! Took much longer, but that was due to a lack of helper, lack of big pots (had to move soup into big bowl 😁), and checking recipe lots. In NZ this came to about $35, which is about $2 a meal! Awesome guys. Keep up the fabulous work. (Oh and did you mean 2 tsps of cumin in curry, 2 tbls seemed lots, i used 1tbsp and its super cuminy)
Love this!!! It's nice to see actual meal prep being done! Also, you seemed really professional in this video; less talking over each other. Would love to see another video like this.
I ended up making this in this months Meal rotation. OH MY GOD! everything in these 4 meals are amazing. I would recommend putting a decent heaped spoon of Hummus (For me, Garlic hummus) with the vegetable Pasta meal. it transforms the meal to an 11... SO GOOD!
hey guys love your vids. Maybe I am missing something but how many of them do you eat on that table a day and if 2 or 3 what do you eat between? Not seeing 8 days amount of food there. Sorry if i am being daft.
The sweet potato soup was easy and tastes pretty good. The ginger and coconut milk give it flavor. I added more salt and a sprinkle of red chili flakes.
I think you guys are just the cutest. I'm so glad I found your Channel I love watching you. I love love love your accents and I could listen to you talk forever. Love your recipes
I really like how you both add in advice for cooking with cheaper ingredients. So many people are struggling right now and with higher food prices this advice will make your recipes more doable for people of every economic background. Most cooking videos do not even bother to add this advice in. Much appreciated! Also, you got me interested in trying eggplant again. I tried it once as a kid and I disliked it, so I never bothered eating it again. Great video!
Thanks so much Ember! We always try to stay aware of this. We own a vegetable shop so we struggle to remember from time to time. We love the challenge though. Hope you’re keeping well and eating the veg! 😀😀
This is perfect! I'm on a budget and have some extra pounds to lose. Having loved every recipy I ever tried from you, this is a low budget weight loss week I am looking forward to!!!!
Do you know that coconutmilk is very oil rich? I have speak yesterday with my nutritionist and she said that I shouldn’t use any Coconutmilks because its so rich of oil. Sorry guys, but i found your channel really awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for no oil..now, what to use instead of salt? And what are healthy non stick pans so I don't get those chemicals into my food? Thanks for your high energy inspiring cooking🙂
I know it was 2 years ago though I have a question. What would you recommend in place of soy & tamari. I have allergies to soy, wheat & sesame, to name a few. 😬🙄
A Question Please. . I heard that the green part of the garlic that is in the centre is a bitter taste & should be removed. Did ye ever hear this. I remove it ……..just because. ……… is it good to remove or not. …. Ye are Great. I love your channel. . I leave lots of Questions . I do not know if ye even see them or not. I never get an answer. I know to days question may be a bit of nothing. . But I am trying to get used to spices. . I d9 not want to ruin it ( My Meal) bu putting in too much or yes, maybe too little . I started to follow a recipe yesterday. A 5 minute meal. It tool three quarters of an hour to have all the veg cooked & ready. . It was a really yummy meal. . I had more before. I went. to bed at about 8 p/m. It was really lovely . It stopped me eating ice cream which I really wanted. . Well done lads. Ye are great. 🧄🥒🥬🥦🌽🥦🍒🍑🫐🫑🧅🫒🥕🌽☘️☘️☘️
Healthy food is so much more expensive in the US than in Ireland, I’ve gained a lot of weight because of that but I’m interested to try this and see what the price difference is! Would you guys be able to include a list in the description for videos like this in future?
It can take a little planning but it is possible on a reasonable budget. I try to say in season and shop the sales. We also have a lot of farmers' markets where I live. If you go late, like an hour before they close, you can get great deals because the farmers don't want to truck left over produce back home. Several times I left with a huge box of mixed veg and fruit for under $10.
SweetasSugar42 well, they have aldi but not as commonly. The same company own trader joes I think, which is the cheapest store near to me but they’re pretty wasteful because I‘ve heard they just repackage a lot of the Aldi produce, etc. Different crops are subsidised here too so there’s a much larger incentive to farm soy and maize than in Europe.. also, I’m in nyc and to rent space is so expensive that I guess they have to charge more to balance the costs.
@@TiocfaidhFinsta Yes, farmers markets are your place to go. If you want to know the whole route from the field to your table, and people, who are 'responsible' 😀. You can search & ask for CSA programs as well!
When I spent my J1 student visa in the US the stores didn't want any produce that looked past its best on the shelves, so if you go in first thing in the morning just before they start removing old stock and restocking the shelves, they usually have a bunch of (perfectly good and nutritious) fruit and veg that they will sell for very little (or even free). In Long Island I remember a store that left a huge pile of bananas (with a few minor black specks on the peel) beside the till every morning for free. That's actually how I prefer to eat them! So WIN! WIN! :D And as always go for local and in season. That means there's loads and they'll be cheaper.
love this concept! oil free AND budget friendly!? dreams come true!! keep up this type of thing - budget is a real struggle and this is just what i needed to see! thank you!
Please do another one of these with updated prices. Things are going up so fast these days. I love the recipes in this video - but slap wrists, boys! I've been to your website but I can't find the recipes for these and it would have been so good if I could have followed your recipes exactly instead of guessing at some of the quantities. Never mind. The content on this channel is epic for a relatively new vegan, learning a whole new approach to food. I always loved whole food and fruit and veg so I kinda thought I'd be OK, but I never expected to be eating such delicious flavours. Thank you! (I'm subscribed.)
This looks great and what I need, but I’m not sure about storage. Precooked rice and pasta can be very dangerous if not stored properly and I’ve always been too scared to try. Do you freeze some of these? Put them in the fridge while still hot? If you freeze them, do you cook from frozen or defrost? If in fridge, how many days are they safe? Do you reheat in a microwave?
Amazing dishes!!! They look all delicious.... maybe I will make a challenge to myself.... and try a week with the recipes you show here. Thank you for sharing❤
I made 3 of these today-the soup, stir fry, and pasta. I think I made enough food for a small army! Of course, it’s all delicious. My husband really loves the soup, too!
thanks guys great video i've been a staunch meat eater but def gonna try this, what's the best way to re heat? can I microwave or does this kill nutrients cheers
I’m a little late to the party. Just found you in UA-cam. I made three of these meals today and they’re fabulous! Thank you! It’s so nice to find vegan food that has flavor. And love your enthusiasm. You guys are great. 😁
Many thanks. It is my second approach to going vegan and thanks to creative people like you guys I feel that there is actually some joy in it all and it can be achieved. This prep session really helps because one of the problems with vegan always seems to be what do I eat at work/after work. I will definitely give this a go although I will use oil...
I found the bean curry to be way too sweet, mine came out like a tomato chili instead of a yellow curry. What could I add instead to avoid all the added sugar from the baked beans? Adding plain navy beans? Also made the sweet potato coconut ginger soup - that tasted divine!
Excellent video. Thanks, dudes! I haven't seen compostable trays in supermarkets. Where did you buy them and do they have lids? Can they go in the freezer? If they don't have lids, what do you cover the food with? Thanks.
OMG guys I've been looking for vegetarian / vegan meal preps and I stumbled here. Its my favorite kind of food I'm definitely subscribing, I'm drooling already 😭
Love that two brothers are cooking together and your Irish brogues make me listen closely - so I have to better pay attention. My maternal grandfather was Irish, right off the boat, as my mother liked to say, his name was Christian Edward Callahan, I was almost named after him and wished desperately that I had been so I like to imagine that he sounded like you two. He died long before I was born so I never got the chance to meet him.
Wow this is great thank you guys. Although with my 3 kids this is 2 days of lunch and dinner and I would likely add a salad to the dinners and maybe do green juices for breakfast or every other breakfast. Great ideas to start up my week of meal planning though thank you 😊
That was awesome ... I have most of these ingredients so will give the recipes a try... thanks for sharing! Great idea using canned baked beans for a curry dish....
Is there a full shopping list for these posted anywhere? After watching this the other night, I've decided to give these a try. Would love to find a total shopping list so I can have everything in @The Happy Pear

Thank you! Typing this out was very thoughtful!

This meal costs around:-
For Australia
(Woolworths) $26.50
(Coles) $25.50
Canada
(Walmart) $25.73 (plus Tax)
(SuperStore) $27.77

That's so good though! 8 days of high nutritious and healthy vegan meals for $25 if shopping at Cole's?

A Walmart - really? Go for quality, not the lowest price tag.
Wow, surprised at the difference between Woolies and Coles! What did you find was more expensive at Woolies?

Would you need to add more liquid or flavourings if you use straight beans instead of the tinned baked beans...?
@@celinestines5501 You would add tomato paste instead, and some liquid sweetener to taste. Most curries are tomato based, so adding baked beans was a good way to cut that corner. However, as the tomato paste was already on the list for something else, there's still half a tube available for this.
Thank you@@ScarlettKitsune! That's really helpful 😄
Brilliant.
This video has so much value in it ppl dont even realize. Thx u guys, will definetly do that myself.

Thanks xx
It can get boring. I usually cook twice a week and make enough for 3 - 4 days at a time. That way I'm not tired of the recipes before they're gone.
I don't know about 8 days but 3-4 days easily because one can change other things like a small salad and the fruits you eat.
You could make this as componants instead of finished dishes. That's how I cook in order to make it different everyday.
Fabulous!! Thanks from Texas. So happy you are doing some oil free recipes. I love you
guys!
Where can I find this prep written out? I'd like to print it and use it asap!
ForeverNERVOUSZan I just watch the videos over and over hahaahha - i take lots of ideas from each video!
Just save the video for whenever U want to cook.. play, pause, play
Tsar Pushkin I do this so I can listen to the ingredients at the store (and listen to something too) hahaha
Love this but need ingredients list !
You guys are amazing brothers.I just love you guys working together and creating amazing dish every time.
"Gonna add about 3 tablespoons of vegetable stock"
*dumps in at least a quarter cup*
Love you guys! Flavours abound! :)
Love this!!! It's nice to see actual meal prep being done! Also, you seemed really professional in this video; less talking over each other. Would love to see another video like this.
I really like using coconut milk instead of water for rice. tastes so yummy

Made the sweet potato soup, added some seasoning: 1/4 tsp each curry powder, chipotle powder, and cumin. Tastes amazing guys, and so easy and quick.
You guys are just the best - thanks ever so much for all your cool videos!
Wish you guys would do an updated version of this.
Love it,,love your cooking,,can't wait to cook it,,thank you!!!xxx
I think you guys are just the cutest. I'm so glad I found your Channel I love watching you. I love love love your accents and I could listen to you talk forever. Love your recipes
Please make more of these kinds of videos. It is awesome to see a meal prep video where I can honestly say, that I want to try everything.
Fabulous! Loving this channel.
You guys are awesome. And fun too! You motivate me to meal prep.
How can I keep this fresh. In the Freezer or is the fridge ok. ???
Thank you. 🥬🥒🌶🫑🧄🧅
Great meal ideas and so simple and cost affective thank you 🙏🏽
Ok have you the full ingredients so i can go buy in a shop please
This is perfect! I'm on a budget and have some extra pounds to lose. Having loved every recipy I ever tried from you, this is a low budget weight loss week I am looking forward to!!!!
You guys are making me hungry ^^
Do you know that coconutmilk is very oil rich? I have speak yesterday with my nutritionist and she said that I shouldn’t use any Coconutmilks because its so rich of oil. Sorry guys, but i found your channel really awesome! Thank you!
Thank you for this! Looks fantastic! Now I can prep my meals for the week without fear.
Love this meal prep! You guys are GREAT!
I love these recipes! I will definitely be trying the sweet potato soup. Thank you for sharing.

Suppose the difference is America doesn't have the Lidl/Aldi supermarkets we have here. Fresh fruit and veg for (relatively) cheap.
So WIN! WIN! :D
And as always go for local and in season. That means there's loads and they'll be cheaper.
love this concept! oil free AND budget friendly!? dreams come true!! keep up this type of thing - budget is a real struggle and this is just what i needed to see! thank you!
I peel the broccoli stalk so it cooks quicker and is a little more tender.
I have made these recipes and they are AWESOME! Thank you for always bringing us such fantastic meal ideas!
I’m really grateful for this video. I’m going to make all this. Just need to buy all the prep boxes first.
I've been waiting for this one!!! Looks super Yummers as always! ❤️❤️
Great ideas. They all look pretty tasty, too.
I have your new cookbook and I just love it and love you guys...thank you all the way from Canada...Dudes!
Always great ideas. Love you guys!!!
This was so delightful to watch. Thank you guys!
Love the carrot shredding technique!
Absolutely fantastic examples! Thanks gents!!! I am going to make these :)
I made 3 of these today-the soup, stir fry, and pasta. I think I made enough food for a small army! Of course, it’s all delicious. My husband really loves the soup, too!
I'm so happy that I found your awesome videos! Looks delicious.
I am a subscriber now!:)
thanks guys great video i've been a staunch meat eater but def gonna try this, what's the best way to re heat? can I microwave or does this kill nutrients cheers
Great video! Love the baked beans hack!
Thanks guys, so delicous!
You taslk about using wholemeal pasta, what about pulse pasta like lentil pasta?
I found the bean curry to be way too sweet, mine came out like a tomato chili instead of a yellow curry. What could I add instead to avoid all the added sugar from the baked beans? Adding plain navy beans? Also made the sweet potato coconut ginger soup - that tasted divine!
Excellent video. Thanks, dudes! I haven't seen compostable trays in supermarkets. Where did you buy them and do they have lids? Can they go in the freezer? If they don't have lids, what do you cover the food with? Thanks.
Where the f do you find 29cent(31 in America but still) baked beans??? I’m like amazed
Hi guys could you upload your shopping list? It will be easier for shopping. And maybe the recipe for each meal.
Is there a place to find these recipes written out on your website? Thanks!
It all looks delicious.
Awesome videos boys. Absolutely love watching these kind of videos. Keep Vegan meal prep on a budget. Keep them coming
Brilliant! That’s me sorted for next week. Top job guys ❤️
This is amazing! Could you do a video on prepare ahead breakfasts/lunches to pack for work?
Where do you get your tank tops from?
Would love to see more of these type of videos
Yes! More oil free recipes/meal preps please!
Can you please say how much ginger & garlic you’re adding?🙏
It’s really great that you guys added the sesame seeds to the dish since you didn’t use any oil and carrots contain fat soluble vitamins!
Wow dudes this is top banana 🍌😍 and loved it when the camera angle went from above - more please makes it easier to see ! Thanks
How long do these dishes last in the fridge please? Thanks
Your recipes converted my husband to a vegan diet. I never thought I would see the day. Thank you guys so much! :)
Great ideas to start up my week of meal planning though thank you 😊
You two are awesome!
That was awesome ... I have most of these ingredients so will give the recipes a try... thanks for sharing! Great idea using canned baked beans for a curry dish....
Cant wait to try these out this week. Just taken delivery of my meal prep containers and the food shopping arrives tomorrow
Where did you order these containers from? Do you know if they can be heated in over (rather than microwave).
Jim Clarke I got mine from Amazon; microwave only
You can use coconut oil
Fantastic video! How long will each of these meals last in the fridge?
I love this video! Gives me loads of meal prep inspiration! :)
These all look so amazing!
Is there a full shopping list for these posted anywhere? After watching this the other night, I've decided to give these a try. Would love to find a total shopping list so I can have everything in @The Happy Pear
