I honestly thought the same thing lol. It literally looks like the Acura version of the HR-V when you look at it from most angles, especially the back. We'll see how it drives once people start driving it. I do love the styling that Acura does though, I think their cars are some of the best in terms of design to differentiate them from a lot of Honda vehicles.
I’m not a fan of CVTs, but I think it’ll do okay in this segment. Although yes, I do think it’s lacking 2 powertrains it needs to achieve its full potential: 1) 2.0t turbo with 10AT - make it available with an additional sport trim. Or tweak the suspension as well and call that the Type-S. 2) A hybrid / PHEV option - its main rival, the UX, already has it. They need to include this if they want to compete for those buyers. I think it does look good and has potential to be a hot seller!

I don't understand why y'all are hating so much. Exterior and styling is nicer than the HR-V, c-pillar is fixed, interior is nicer than HR-V and even the Integra. It's also bigger than it's competition while being cheaper too.
Well, if you ever wondered why the HR-V never got a L15 engine, here's your answer. Acura in the US is doing what Honda/Acura in Canada did years ago with the Acura EL... they left off the VTEC version of the Civic engine for Acura EL, meaning that Canada Civics were essentially missing the top trim for those years. They had to do this to give the Acura dealers a volume "base" model after the end of the Integra/RSX, otherwise foot traffic would have dwindled in Acura dealers.

Lack of hybrid is what kills this for me. We lease an Integra now and its powertrain is underwhelming. Acura would need to bring at least the same hybrid system that the Civic current gets or a more performance oriented one for us to stay with them. Else the equipment gap between Acura and their Honda twins isn't big enough to keep me from jumping back down to a Honda to get the added power and efficiency of the hybrid.
It's an HR-V. The doors are identical with the Coke Bottle motif. Just add this engine, power liftgate and full LCD Cluster to the top end HR-V. Job done.
Just like every other brand platform shares between some models of their mainstream brand and premium brand like VW/Audi, Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti etc.

Absolutely Ludacris, why do they need to wait for future models, the Civic hybrid has been available in the new generation in the UK for years, we literally just got it and it has universal acclaim. This car is not coming out till next year, and they literally can’t even put it in This car. It would be significantly faster than the 1.5 T, and better fuel economy. They really need to fire their whole marketing and development team.
I like it. It looks to have what the Honda HRV's higher trim is missing, with a performance upgrade to the 1.5t. Only tiniest of things... not crazy about the blue interior accents. Another brown or a medium gray accent would have been my choice. My guess is price will max at $43 - 44k for the Advance trim w/AWD. I think fuel economy is going to either drive sales of this or starve it, just like a coming recession could. I suspect Honda is saving the 2.0L hybrid system for the MY2026 Honda HRV, since it exists in the rest-of-world. But that they are waiting for Civic hybrids to saturate the supply system. My local dealer still hasn't had one. So while I'd like an Acura Sport Hybrid, it probably wont happen until Acura begins its 0-Series products with those smaller/lighter electric motors needed to recreate an e-SH-AWD, at least at the rear axel.
I love it, waiting for hybrid or electric version in the near future....just picked up a ZDX Aspec, could not pass up the great lease deal, upgraded from ILX loving it so far

My wife had a ‘23 HRV and we loved it and always thought the 1.5T from my civic would make it almost perfect. They should have done a little more to differentiate it but most of the actual buyers won’t care especially of its priced right.

So, we have to jump into the Acura to get ventilated seats. No ventilated seats in any CIVIC or CRV. The interior color is nice not the grey and black of the civic or crv. I think I would jump into the Mazda cx-5 signature.
Ok, it’s based on the same platform as the Acura Integra and Honda HR-V (the side profile looks a lot like the HR-V) and will share the Integra’s 1.5 I4 turbo, so, when can we expect the ADX Type S model, if it does happen, I’m guessing a DCT, it will sell, but probably at the expense of the Integra, pricing will be everything, to see if the ADX and Integra can coexist

I have a 2023 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring, and it appears Honda built this ADX from the CR-V and morphed it to a Acura. The steering wheel, interior door latch, seat, and switches all look like my CR-V but of course with a premium look and modification.
Agree like others and you, Alex…a performance hybrid continues to be a big miss for Acura. I just got the ‘25 Civic Hybrid the performance and fuel economy is AMAZING which something similar amped up from the CR-V would give it some differientiation and meet the performance theme their cars are known for. Great overall review!
Acura needed this 3 years ago and it has the same interior as 3 year old cars. Come on Honda... At least they broke up the acres of black interior that Honda likes so much with a bit of blue.

This is an HR-V with an Acura interior and the 1.5 turbo replacing the 2 liter naturally aspirated engine. I find the styling to be decent (but not a home run), while the interior is quite nice. I'll give this a B. Good, but not great. Oh, and those blue and ivory seats look horrible to me on camera. Maybe they are better in person.
NO WAY! HONDA PUT PANO ROOF COOLED SEATS AND REAR VENTS IN A COMPACT! I figured they just didn't know how to do that. Looks like they still haven't figured out how to do padding on BOTH sides of the center console. 😅
Exterior looks too much like the RDX. Only 2" shorter??? Only significant differences are the CVT and engine. I think current RDX owners might be a bit perturbed how much the ADX looks like the RDX.
So a fancy hrv with the engine and features the HRV should have had? A Hyundai Kona has larger screens, 360 degree camera, blind view monitors, a proper adn more reliable 1.6T + 8 speed trans. Im not sure why in thr world youd get this. Especially because its now compact to midsize and not even a subcompact car anymore. In no way does this compete with a UX. I mean its longer in length than a Lexus NX
They've had the ZDX in other countries, no? It's a shame this is just another bulked up hatchback instead of something efficient. Nicely done overall, but a top of the line HR-V or CR-V is going to make more sense.
Then get the Integra instead. People and cargo need to fit in this, so there’s limited design options. I don’t even see how this is egg-shaped as it has quite a few extra lines and edges. When I think egg, I think cx-5 and cx-90 with their very round back end like the bottom of an egg.

It does look like a Baby MDX (and like a Fancy HR-V form Honda). The size and looks suit customers like me - Retired couple (the wife drives her 16 CRV Touring). If They included the CRV Hybrid system- that would be an Instant Winner ....Acura, You Listening??

7 years ago when I was working for Acura, I asked them to bring CDX (China market exclusive based on HRV), saying no demand and 7 years later...

1 5t CVT is a swing and a miss. Should have a hybrid standard and 2.0t with the 10 speed from the RDX as a upgrade engine (Type S variant)

The ADX is to the HRV as the Integra is to the Civic
It is 2025 year model, they still put 9 inch screen in their car , and the screen look so cheap , it is directly borrowed from Honda
So a fancy hrv with the engine and features the HRV should have had? A Hyundai Kona has larger screens, 360 degree camera, blind view monitors, a proper adn more reliable 1.6T + 8 speed trans. Im not sure why in thr world youd get this. Especially because its now compact to midsize and not even a subcompact car anymore. In no way does this compete with a UX. I mean its longer in length than a Lexus NX
Nobody can predict exactly what people will buy in 2025/2026. This uncertainty is why the company spent limited funds creating this model.
Bummer on the powertrain. I don't want a CVT, and I hear that 1.5T engine is having problems. Too bad, because I like it otherwise.

They've had the ZDX in other countries, no? It's a shame this is just another bulked up hatchback instead of something efficient. Nicely done overall, but a top of the line HR-V or CR-V is going to make more sense.

Then get the Integra instead. People and cargo need to fit in this, so there’s limited design options. I don’t even see how this is egg-shaped as it has quite a few extra lines and edges. When I think egg, I think cx-5 and cx-90 with their very round back end like the bottom of an egg.

It does look like a Baby MDX (and like a Fancy HR-V form Honda). The size and looks suit customers like me - Retired couple (the wife drives her 16 CRV Touring). If They included the CRV Hybrid system- that would be an Instant Winner ....Acura, You Listening??
They didn't do it to annoy you. It means that the hybrid power train is not ready for this vehicle yet.
