- Another dawless improvised jam again this time with my Nektar Pacer mostly set up.
I use a footswitch attached to the Nektar Pacer which when pressed sends a record command to the EHX 45000, and a note to my Korg Monologue at the same time. This is very useful by my drums. Also by my feet (next to the kick drum pedal) I have another footswitch attached the Paer that when pressed sends a "Complete Loop" command to the EHX 45000.
In this jam I lay extra layer of synth on top with the Prologue and then some extra bass notes with the Monologue topping it off with some electric guitar soloing.
lovely vibes!
This is Justin @Nektartech. Nice jam!
Wow👍🔥💯🎶 You are indeed a virtuoso🎸😎
Ah man! I wish, slowly improving ❤️💛💚
Hi. Is it possible to assign a different color for each Step? (Each of the 6 possible messages a Switch can send. So I can have visual feedback of which is the current one). Thanks beforehand
Hey thanks for reaching out to.me. I don't think this is possible however I will check when I get a moment and get back to confirm
I used the online tool for programming the nektar. I have the exact question because I can't get it work with different colors...another weird thing is that my daw often do not reconize the pacer if i want to send signals, sometimes it works and other days, it doesn't. Frustrating
Kool.
cool..... which mixer are you using?
hey cool video.
What soundcard do u use?
like do all of your instruments have seperate input on there?
Hey thanks! In my setup I don't use a soundcard, but a digital PA desk (A&H QU-24) that all instruments & mics go into. The mixer has several outputs and I run a pair of outs into my looping machine the EHX 45000. The looper machine also goes into inputs on the QU-24. This way I can choose what to send to the looper, once in the looper, its commited to 2 stereo tracks (4 tracks in total but I prefer to use them as stereo pairs therefore giving my a total of 2 mutable stereo tracks for most of my tricks). Hope that helps! ask me anything, blessed love from London!
Nice video =) Is it possible to control all channels on the EHX45000 via the nektar foot controller ?
Hey, yes you can toggle them on and off mute and I believe set the volume, switch tracks,. etc. I mapped custom midi functions according to the midi specifications from the EHX.45000 user guide and it was fairly easy to do after getting my head around the Nektar Pacer programming
@@CitizenWarwick Alright, im thinking of getting a EHX45 or the Boss 505. What do you think ?
@@CitizenWarwick How much do the buttons sound when stepping on them, do they make a lot of noise ?
Hey I'm not so sure because I have never used a 505 however the EHX45000 i can say is a simple yet solid device with a great tone quality though it's looper functions are basic and limited, the best feature it has is 4 mono tracks. If I was to choose a looper today I would look at the "Singular Sound Aeros Loop Studio" which looks amazing and way more advanced than the EHX or boss
Hey again, the buttons on the Nektar Pacer are fairly silent no clicks. The button's on the ehx45000 Footswitch are very noisy
Yummy homemade jam!
Jesus...all that gear ...one freaking chord
Hey man it's all my gear not Jesus's although he welcome to come and jam anytime 😆
