I don't know why this bugs me, but a very common misconception is that the hidden blade wasn't designed to be concealed under a sleeve, but rather the bracers, which were commonly worn during the time periods it was designed. It's meant to blend in not be invisible.
I think it is a little big because the characters wear it over their jacket sleeves.
Also, there are custom made version of this that shoots tooth picks with force to pierce cardboard.
The firing blade/phantom blade itself is meant for close quarter due to it being a stealth weapon.

You're always really forgiving in your reviews, it's kind of refreshing.
They give you the basics
You could use the design and improve it to make a working version
or just modify that one to be more efficient.

Lyo, it's because in English 'lame' is something disappointing and weak. This blades blaster is weak, and hence it is lame. The French calls it a "lame fantome" which makes it seem even the manufacturers knew it was crap.
The syndicate hidden blade and phantom blade are the best toys I have we had
I just shortened the spring for the phantom blade. I cut it in half then reattached it. It helped exponentially. Not that hard to do either.
Its not made for bigger arms but its for over a shirt
This seems to be a good emergency side arm for indoor combat if you're going for more of an ac loadout

You can modify the hidden blade so you can activate it by extending your hand

I got this for christmas and the blade is pretty bent from bieng in my sling pack because it always activates inside. Also I like activating the blade with my hip so it looks like it did it automaticlly.

I have this technically, my ac3 one broke and when I press the button the nife flies out. the knife got detached for the other part somehow lol

The hidden blade is designed for a cloak or large robe.
Well its not designed for someone bigger its designed to go over over a sleeve like it was intended.
He says it is bigger than he thought it would be... Ubisoft doesn't cheap out when making cool looking replicas

I wanna see if I can use this during a nerf war.
i modded it and now its in my hvz loadout on the other wrist from my spiderman blaster and watch i also made it so the blade pops out with a string ring finger pull and the shoot is the same but it now fires nerf daryts up to fifty feet i use to blade to barrel tap
They should make ezio hidden gun and like some mechanism to make it shoot be bes

it fires so short because the phantom blade isn't going to produce enough power because its so small

Amazing, this thing is more clumsy than my ac4 version that had the biggest god damn button that just went off ramdomly. Where is my beautiful ezio blade? Oh yeah - OUT OF STOCK. Damn it!

firstly it fires further than u did, also it doesn't fire a soft dart! It fires a plastic dart!
I pre-ordered this a while back when it first came out in the UK and it is an utter piece of sh*t. I I purchased this with high hopes as I am a huge fan of Assassin's Creed and I was completely let down. Firstly, the hidden blade was completely bent and I couldn't get it back the right way. Also, one of the arms of the bow was bent out of shape! When my Dad, the one who purchased the product for me, tried to get in contact to get a refund he said that he was completely ignored! I have to say this thing is not worth the trouble.
