I actually went into a tackle shop and played around with the scope reel, it felt quite solid and the drag felt nice and overall felt like a decent build quality, nothing wobbled or felt flimsy. Although I think the RRP is a little steep.

Shimano makes the Catana.....and then they make the Stella....
They also make the Aerlex......and then they make the Aero Magnesium.....
You could say that the 2 kind of reels (low and high end) are not even made by the same takle producer :)).....
I don't want to Bash-Nash.....pun intended, but it's silly to say that that producer produced this reel, therefore it's of great quality....

I fished carps up to 50 pounds, Belugas, wax dicks and berries round about 20 pieces up to 200cm and catfish up to 205cm without any problems on a paylake... Whilst I appreciate that Nash can't set up a reel factory and get a return within 10 years, this isnt really 'developed' imo.
Its a Tsurinoya spin reel, which retails under £40, with a carpy wooden handle.
There is simple too many brands for the market in carp fishing, so widening your range is a way to gain additional turnover, but dont bullshit and go into areas you have no knowledge of, same for shimano and their boilies which float after 48hrs, trakker with rods.
As for the video claim to have added line clips, the luink below shows the Tsurinoya already has one, lets not forget, a clip harks back to the day when we broke rods down after a session, and clipped the loose line away tidily. Its only in carp and course fishing that 'hitting the clip' has added a usage for it.
Here is the link for the original reels, you decide if they are worth an extra £115 coming via Nash.

I fished with my dad and his friends back in the 70's using basic split cane rods. Caught large carp and pike. Finding fish and getting them to feed is all you need. Carp eat everything and anything. You don't need all the fancy baits and fluff to catch fish.
