Good sermon, but why do you feel the need to explain away the miracles of the Bible? Is it that hard to believe that an Angel of the Lord actually spoke to Philip? Or, that Philip was indeed miraculously moved by God from one geographic location to another? Are either of these miracles too big for the Creator of this universe to handle? Do you think that, perhaps, we've heard so many fictitious stories and t.v. tales that we cannot discern between them and the real, actual miracles of the Bible?? Would you also explain away the virgin birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and/or the crossing of the Red Sea or the river Jordan? Not trying to be mean here, just wanting to encourage you as the "lead" Pastor, not to fall prey to the social whims and disbelief of this world.
