For those saying his real accent came out..its not about that.When you live in 2 places or grew up in 2 cultures,you can easily switch accents cos its in you.Listen to Italian or Spanish Americans..they can sound American or Spanish/Italian..depending on who they are talking to.Same as Jamaicans,indians and many more cultures.He went into the Naija mode deliberately.It is very much possible to have a genuine dual accent

Not even dual, I gabon we have many accents depending on the region you're from and i can switch between many of them without realizing depending who i'm with (sometimes slightly, or sometimes more radical when speak with people from my home village)
Same in France where i Live now. When i came i used to live in "poor" neighborhood with a lot immigrants and the way of speak is very different from when i hang with my Inner Paris friends or people i hang with in College (white people *cough* *cough*).

Burna maybe explosive and controversial but he is not hypocrite he says as it is. Plus he creates work for many people by his huge entertainment company. I think Nigeria whines and they are always criticizing and some even disparage Burna.....can't blame him to give them a break. No matter what he does, and of course, Burna not backing down he reacts to almost every thing so there seems to be bitter sweet love between Nigeria and Burna. Burna is a hard working man, who gives his best and who has a good heart, even though he can be explosive and controversial. But situations and peoples attitude shape us to be this way at times. @@ladiolorunfunmi4538its not Afrobeat. Just like Burna said, the Uk artists are doing Afro-Pop,Afro-fusion and Afro-Swing. They are merging the Afro sound with different genres such as R&B, New Jack Swing, Dancehall, Calypso, Soca, Hiphop, Pop and a few others. I will agree that a lot of it is not high quality music but they are trying to get into the mainstream and be heard by the world. Generally when artists do that regardless of what genre they are in, the quality of their music goes down. Thus losing the core audience within that genre. But i will not deny that the Uk Afro scene helped the Afro sound be as popular and influential as it is today. Along with the help of Fuse ODG, Wizkid and others did do a lot for the popularity of Afro-Pop/Afro-Fusion music across the world and reaching the mainstream outside of Africa. Fuse ODG's song Antenna co-signed by Wyclef Jean (Haitian legend & Global Superstar) in 2010 or 2011 kick started everything. And Fuse was doing it from London, England correct me if i am wrong. So yes the UK did contribute to the current success of Afro music in the mainstream whether it be Afrobeats, Afro-Pop etc.

This interviewer kept talking about numbers, I agree with Burna just appreciate the music It's almost like you're trying to disrespect his work as if to say if he wasn't doing so called numbers a lot of media outlets wouldn't be checking for his music. Yes we would because he was more than a musician. He was an activist and a social commentator. He was an actual movement for which himself and his family suffered persecution for because he really spoke for the people and criticised the government oppression of the day.His mother was beaten and died of her injuries and she was also an activist for the people . He lived his songs, Fela was imprisoned hundreds of times including once for almost two years but he never stopped speaking against injustice and for the ordinary Nigerian people with this music. The current President actually put Fela in jail when he was military head of state. You don't have to be a fan of his music though. We don't mind that but to us he is a hero.
