I've been meaning to do this for like a a few months now. Thanks for getting this footage! :) i've wondered for some time now how they built a crane. It baffled my head alot of the times lol. Thanks again.
in my case, when I hooked up to youtube for my daily viewing, yours was a recommended video, due to my past preference of crane video viewing. Good work, and thanks. And I also enjoy seeing similar videos from soeren66.
Cool video! I found your video recommended after watching my own time-lapse video of the Mirabella construction. I set up a tripod in my 15th floor apartment and snapped pictures for about a year and a half. Apparently we were only a couple of floors apart at the time.
Because the tower crane that they are setting up is for a more long term use. The crane that is setting up the tower crane is more for short periods rather than long.
@cronked There is a yacht named Mirabella that was featured on the travel channel and this vid pops up next to some of the construction vids of the yacht. This is a cool vid but I was looking for more construction stuff on the boat. I bet at least some views come from that. I am just as happy watching any big mechanical thing. lol Off to look for tractors.
well.. I've always wondered how the h**l they put up those cranes.. so I googled "how do you set up a crane" and your video was the first one that came up :p

So to build a crane you need a bigger crane... So why dont you use the bigger crane than?
I thought they hire a ninja and summon a crane. so this is how they do it.
How do they set up cranes that are 3 times taller than this one? Do they build a crane to build a bigger crane? Lol
just type crane setup first thing that came up
Of course a crane on a car is used to build a crane.
