Back in the 50s and 60s my Dad would cut across country to avoid going through Baltimore. The short cut would include crossing the reservoir. I always enjoyed the scenery .
Nice! Definitely the right time to explore for ruins. I was down in Holtwood a few weeks ago exploring the Lock ruins again...shoutout to Susquehanna Ramblers for assistance with Lock 14 remains!
Well thank you! I have hiked a lot around this reservoir and have never come across this trail. Thanks for the historical research. It lent a lot of meaning to the ruins you found. Beautifully filmed and narrated. I know where I’ll be going soon.
@@thewanderingwoodsman7227 so many great trails here... I was going to find the Glen Ellen Castle ruins, but too many unleashed dogs were headed onto that trail, so I pivoted to this.
Did you know that the trail that follows the stream that feeds into Loch Raven ends with a waterfall that was featured in the movie "Tuck Everlasting"? Also Kilgore Falls in Harford county was a filming location for that same film.
@@grillinandchillinwithdeb So many more trails than what I showcased. I'll be back to look for the Glen Ellen Castle ruins and maybe the town of Warren. Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

@@robertVirtue-mc2yw I had to drive to Sterling, VA today for hockey... Baltimore traffic was fine, but DC was awful! Merry Christmas!
