Hey Ade, nice to see you back. Probably you are feeling better thus your new video :) Good move on getting a rear camera; not so much as to help reversing but to make sure any rear collision is recorded. Many people only have the front camera which is ok but not enough. Also, Some insurers will give a little discount if you have dashboard cameras. Anyhow, I'm just happy to see you back in action and I'm gagging to see the end of the lockdown so we can meet again for a ride. Till then stay safe, stay focused and be happy :)
You mentioned you could do with a trained mouse , I have an untrained one which I’ve yet to catch but your most welcome to it when I do . Being a heathen with a Picasso I screwed the camera into the roof lining , works ok looking out of back window 😁
Hi I’ve watched your video for the touran , I have a 2013 Touran but having issues with the reverse camera . It works with the boot lid open but when closed it won’t work . Saw another video regarding a relay , we have installed the relay due to a voltage drop after engine is started ,but can’t get this Road Angel camera to work , have you any ideas please
You are describing a broken cable. The brake in the cable is most likely in the convoluted rubber hose between the tailgate and the chassis (only visible with the tailgate open). With the tailgate open and in reverse gear try giving the convoluted pipe/hose a good squeeze. It's not uncommon. Best regards ade.
@@eadsierestorations thanks for your response , however it’s a new install , if I had hair I’d be pulling it out lol 😂 … the camera worked initially after the relay was put in to up the voltage which dropped in the rear after engine was started . We saw that advice on another utube video . In fact it worked for a couple of hours but then it’s stopped playing ball . I bought a Road Angel head unit to replace the cheap Chinese unit that was put in by the garage that imported the car . I’m sure we will get there but frustrated by the time it’s taking to sort out what I thought was going to be a straight forward install
My first camera did that, it was a cheap Chinese kit though, i changed the camera to the one supplied with the head unit and it's a lot better, there is still a bit of interference when reversing
@@eadsierestorations would you say put a relay in? It’s a halfords camera but not sure if it’s crap or not. My Bmw handle one is perfect and that’s from droiduk as I got my screen from there too. Thanks again.
@@eadsierestorations I'm thinking of buying the new model what's coming out this year.after watching how you put fuse box in I'll be doing that.any things you would recommend doing to it from the onset 'regards Bob
Thanks for sharing and excellent video.
good to see you back doing again mate, hope you are feeling OK

Two thumbs up for sticking with it!!
If you pop off the cig lighter and ash tray trim you can run the usb cable down the back of radio and through the ash tray.
Thanks bud, will do

Well done you
Hi. My mate is wiring mine but when the engine is turned on the reverse camera plays fuzzy or won’t display but works fine when engine not running
