    20% tint means that only 20% of light passes through. Not that it blocks 20%. So it’s blocking 80% which makes your lux meter much closer to correct numbers.

      Correct. I just assumed it would be like window tint, it looks darker looking in than it does looking out.

      Lol it’s shocking how many people do this and don’t know what the numbers are.

    Have you had a drl go out? We were told by Kia it is a $1100 part, ebay says $80 for the DRL module. I can find anyone who know anything about the DRL replacement.
    Thanks

      I haven’t, you could probably buy a used headlight for a couple hundred too.
      Some lights have modules on the outside of the light that’s easy to replace. I’d suggest checking out one of the k5 groups on Facebook or headlight junkies on Facebook and they will have a better answer for you.

    Where did you get your car mats from? The 3D front ones?

    I dont understand WHY you woul want to basically hide the headlights. They ARE GREAT LOOKING, And are peet of what make the front en LOOK SO GOOD! All yiur other mods look good, but this doesn't work.

      Did you watch the whole video? I said it was dumb. Already pulled the tint off too lol

      @@zstampe sorry, I had to stop watching as I had to leave home! Glad you pulled it off. You have done some nice mods, my 2017 Elantra I bought new in May of 2016, just turned 100.000 miles. so long warranty! I didn't trade it in , it has required 0 repairs, and has had 0 issues!! Just 2 batteries and I just last month put on my second set of new tires. I have an 80 mile round trip to work and back, all freeway, so using the Elantra for that, keeps the mileage down on the K5! I'm in Southern California which is great for cars, no rust or corrosion issues. My 58 cadillac that my parents bought in 1960, still looks nearly like new underneath and has no issues under there that need any attention. Still going down the road! I have subbed!

    Yo I have been meaning to say this for weeks lol. I think you made a video and said that you hate that you cannot use the whole sun roof while you are venting. You can lol press the vent button then when it’s open pull the rocker back just a littl to the first notch like you wanted just the shed to open and it will open shade and leave vent open

    • @zstampe
      @zstampe  Рік тому +1

      Nah, I mean I hate that you can’t vent it and leave the shade closed. Appreciate the comment brother

    Although it’s cool and all, be aware of local state laws. I perform state inspections in Texas, and according to my books, any tint on headlights are prohibited. It’s a cool look, but don’t get pulled over for it.

    • @zstampe
      @zstampe  Рік тому +1

      Agreed, I said it was illegal in all 50 states to knowledge. I already peeled the tint off anyway ha ha

    im a fan of your videos i just got the k5 gt line a couple weeks ago, I was wondering if it’s possible to upgrade the gt lines performance to be close to that of the regular gt version. I was originally looking for the gt but i couldn’t find one one anywhere without markups of 8k +

      Look through my other videos, I did a JB4 tune and that helps a ton.

    • @zstampe
      @zstampe  Рік тому

      Not great. I peeled it off the next morning lol. I made the video more to show people how much light they’d lose and why it’s probably not a great idea if you ever drive at night

      @logic7630 Рік тому

      @@zstampe yea ik, im more say confused on if thats still bright enough or not bc i have seen the lights at night and they are extremely bright not tinted so..

    • @zstampe
      @zstampe  Рік тому

      @@logic7630 to me they weren’t bright enough. I didn’t feel safe with them, but I also live out in a less populated area. I think the kits are 25 bucks. Buy one and try it yourself and see. Keep in mind I lost like 80 percent of my light output which isn’t an insignificant amount of light.

      Def looks good, but yeah, not worth the loss in output that you pay for By having this kind of led tech in the car.
