Any fridge can cool, there is no meaning to think more about it. But use the central place in the kitchen and dining area as information hub, this is really helpful, if a company would provide it. Unfortunately, they do not understand and provide very restricted operating systems where people cannot install any apps like on any ordinary phone. Opportunity missed.
Dont buy LG. . . 6 years and $3500 later my POS has issue with inner cooling most likely tied to compressor and that they have a class action lawsuit since its so common.
Am not surprised at all the bad reviews on Samsung refrigerator i am so regretful that i purchased a Samsung refrigerator worked well about 3 yrs and that was it problems after problems ever since.Noise freezing up in the back i have to turn off after the build up off ice in the so the ice can run down and then turn it back on again so many troubles
LG sucks bigtime..we purchased Feb 2021 and the freezer section will now not go below 25 degrees.. so icemaker will not work (only works at 10 or below) ..pizza and ice cream will not freeze..ice cream is like soup. The linear compressor is the problem. Too many sad stories about fixing and only lasting another year. This will be replaced next week as we are researching GE and Whirlpool. Will simply accept the loss and put LG in our rear view mirror.
do not buy samsung appliances! terrible design flaws that they do not take responsibility for. they will send a repair person out over and over for the same thing and list it as something different every time. they don't have to replace the unit unless they come out for same thing 3 times in a year. scandalous. stick to tv's.
had a samsung for 17 years, repaired twice. and now finally broke for good. surprised to hear that samsung and LG rated worst. maybe i should go for Toshiba or Electrolux

None of these refrigerators will go 10 years without something breaking. Besides, they all have microprocessor mother boards that short out should a slight surge happen. All appliances are made to break. Conveniences cost and it's one more useless accessory to break sooner. Door stations break the most. Surge protect your house! It's required in the NEC code because computerized appliances get fried soo easily.

Bought a beautiful looking Samsung refrigerator new six years ago and it crapped out on us in just 4 years. Never again.

From my other research Samsung and LG’s are rated worse than the other manufacturers because of the repairs needed.

Deli drawer on Maytag is a great idea, however, ours can’t hold much without the drawer falling down when opened. It’s nearly useless.

My Maytag is easily the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. Very noisy with several different noises & build quality isn’t very good.
Not sure if you've thoroughly reviewed LG and Samsung fridges to be placing them as Top 2 and 1. No stats to back up your reviews.
Never buy anything else than American or German brand. Avoid LG and Samsung at all cost. Problems comes within 7-8years of life
