- This amazing 2005 LEGO Star Wars Target Exclusive has proved to be a special set! 7283 Ultimate Space Battle originally retailed for $50 but is now worth over $300 sealed in the box! It included an exclusive red Obi-Wan's Starfighter alongside a Yellow Anakin's Starfighter, Droid Tri-Fighter, and 2 Vulture Droids! This was truly an ultimate set to recreate the opening scene over Coruscant in Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith!

This set is probably one of the best concepts LEGO Star Wars has ever made. I want them to make it again.
Yeah you're right, they should another one of these for the Original Trilogy and the Sequel Trilogy, but I would make the ships a bit smaller because for a child if they were to play with it they would almost certainly always break them.

this set is absolutely perfect. Throw in some updated figures and buzz droids, add a few stud shooters to meet the play feature standard, update a few prints, and then re-release for $15 more expensive and it would be perfect

@@SageSea1 They’re almost identical to the newer models. Just swap out the flick-fire missiles with spring loaded shooters and stud shooters.

I remember my dad having this, because he loved LEGO as a child. I was born in 2006, and the only pieces I can find of this set after moving, are Obi Wan, and parts of the Vulture droids.
Arguably the best vulture droid design.

I had this is a kid!! It's perfect for siblings. Everyone gets a spaceship and an enemy ship. Great set.
I do wish the newer versions of the Jedi starfighters has retained the retractable landing gear, that aspect of these older ones is better imo
I hope LEGO remakes this set. This is a GREAT concept for LEGO Star Wars and highly deserves a remake.

I remember having this set and I played with it rehearsing the opening scene of Revenge of the Sith every single day! I even went as far as breaking off the end pieces of Obi-Wan’s ship 😂 This brings back so many good memories. My only regret is that I eventually lost the set as I grew up.
What's kind of weird about the Jedi interceptor is that the rereleased it later in the hyperdrive booster ring in 2007 that fixed the side gun issue, and it was a very simple fix. The just replaced the neck bracket with a modified 2 by 1 that had clips, and placed in a generic bar piece, both in blacked.
Will you do a jedi interceptor comparison when the 2020 one comes out?
I remember when I was 6. I got to play with another kid who had these and for some reason it is one of my core memories as a kid. I absolutely love this set

I am nostalgic for all of these early 2005 sets even though I didn't own any of them except for the Clone Scout Walker because of LEGO Star Wars The Video Game
THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER LEGO SET!!!! I was 6 nearly 7 and I still have no idea what happened to it. My only clear memory of it was the day I got it which I really remember clearly. Otherwise I remember playing with the minifigs a lot and loosing Anakin's hand because I liked to cut it off.
I never realised it was so rare and wondered why I never saw it in classic reviews
That Tri-Fighter is the best one they've made.
btw at 10:30 that is the “ Circle Fleet” Insignia in the back. That is the Large fleet that Obi Wan and Anakin lead.

You know what's rarer than Obi Wan's red fighter? Obi-Wan's blue fighter. It was in one set, that I was lucky to get back in the day
This set needs to be remade. New versions of Obi-Wan and Anakin's fighters, similar to the ones we got a few years back plus a few cosmetic adjustments, as with the newer tai-fighters and vulture droids. Slightly updated appearances for the minifigures, or an exclusive figure addition. I'd pay over $100 for that.

My brother and I had the Anakin’s star fighter and vulture droid set when it came out. That anakin figure was my favorite mini figure for awhile. I don’t know why but I loved pretending that he and obi wan we’re fighting on Mustafar on our brown carpet with an orange baseplate for lava

I got this set for Christmas when it came out and it was the best Christmas present I’ve ever gotten. Not bad at all for the $50 original price at all

Whenever I was younger I had a display box with this set in it.
I remember seeing advertisments for this set in the back of the user manual for Lego Star Wars on the PS2.
I have always wanted this lego set! Hopefully I can get my hands on one in the future.

I have every jedi star fighter and jedi interceptor that lego has produced and this set is one of my all time favorites
Not getting this set haunted me until then released the stand alone starfighters. Its still a very nice set.
This is a pretty good set. So much play value and display value.

Buzz droid super weird looking with those droid legs. Tri fighter cool, vulture droid look good but weak.

They need to recreate this ASAP. And maybe swap these interceptors for Anakin’s interceptor from the clone wars that has a different paint pattern and Ahsoka’s interceptor as well.

I can say one thing: In the 00's Lego creators loved the word "Ultimate" for star wars Lego sets

The whole set is some cool beans, but the fact Lego put such wizard landing gear on a 2005 set really puts to shame their newer models.
Anakin's Jedi straighter and vulture droid were the fist sets I ever bought. Also the tie fighter with the Light up Darth Vader.

They’re not (nor am I) spending $500 on a set like this one (the only reason it’s worth that much is cause the set is 18 years old, was a Target exclusive, and is nostalgic nowadays). Even inflation being accounted for, the set is still worth under $100

I remember picking up this set in 2005 for my birthday it was the second set I ever bought the first was the turbo tank that came out the same year with the light up mace windu
If you take the domes off of the buzz droid and connect them with one of those really short technic bars you can have them in the ball form
When will we ever get a re release for the Arc 170?!?! I would buy in a heartbeat a UCS Arc 170 (personal favourite ship of the Clone Wars/Prequel Era)
