The screech she did on the ends of “doesn’t anybody get it right” and “doesn’t anybody think that I hear” is incredible. It displays an emotion of such rage and anguish.
I've seen people complain about her using the tissue to clean up the blood, but I actually think it's a nice little touch. It's the one moment of trying to compose herself before she just lets rip
Kat Writer in the dress rehearsal video they had to pause cause it would get into her eyes (you can also see in this clip she has the tissue and you can see keaton hold the crown and also hunch forward before the blood starts spilling)

the way she switches between several songs as she starts to panic, it almost feels like she was reliving every trauma she went through before breaking at the end
And THIS is why I prefer it when the actress doesn’t try to make it sound ‘pretty’. Most people try to do a higher piercing note but I think that a louder and lower note just adds that extra bit of pain and anger to the song.
Elliott Loverin yeah, most just have him die with the rest insignificantly. Along with Mrs Gardner. I’ve seen a production where Chris and billy didn’t die either

She is outstanding. Her voice is incredible - her Carrie is the first one I saw (granted only on here, unfortunately) and I was absolutely amazed. She could *easily* do this on Broadway. So damn talented.
It is my favorite part because she seems so sad and frustrated about the whole situation but she knows what she had done. I don’t know, for me it’s an amazing part
What I appreciate is how Carrie kills Tommy. She knows he meant no harm, but even in her fit of rage, she still takes the time to kill him with respect. She didn’t want to see him die at her hands. A very sweet notion, even if this is a Horror Musical. Also, Keaton is THE BEST Carrie, and nobody will ever prove me wrong. Have a blessed day/night!
Carrie should've never killed him. He dies by getting hit in the head with the bucket in the original tale. Then making it so she kills him ruins the entire story and makes her the villain. The whole reason she truly breaks is because she sees Tommy is dead. Then she snaps and kills everyone out of rage. She doesn't even truly realize exactly what she it doing. Her CONSCIOUSLY killing Tommy one of the ONLY TWO people who cared for her ruins the entire tales.
In the original movie, she burns down the whole school. In the book, she burns down the whole town after stabbing her mother and her mother stabbed her. So you can’t really play dead in a burning shxooo lmao
I just dont get why everyone is talking about the "Doesn't anybody ever get it right? Doesn't anybody think that i hear?" But no one is talking about the "And God made Eve bear the curse, The curse of blood!" Like, That was one of the best part of the song, How the actress sings it is just...So awesome!
I love how realistic it looks when Tommy falls to the ground. I know that they would have practiced timing that correctly a lot, but having been in a show where I had to react to essentially telekinesis, that look of being hit and then falling down without bracing yourself is really hard, especially if she isn’t actually hitting you (stage fighting, of course). Well done!
Guys...look at the way she smiles though. You can tell the character probably has never felt a happiness like finally getting to return the pain that was inflicted on her...think about that. Poor, poor Carrie...
