I was just telling my cousin I believe god will come back around the day of the trumpets/Rosh Hashanah and I didn’t realize this part the preparation before the return. So awesome grateful for Rabbi sobel great teacher!! Love this 🙏💜

0:28 ok you’re killing me here…you tell me that Elul is an acronym for ‘circumcise your hearts,’ but you don’t actually tell the Hebrew phrase? I thought it stood for Ani l’dodi v’dodi li, which was from Song of Songs.

I looooove your videos! I want to ask a very controversial question for you to explain someday. The Lord rested on the 7th day = Saturday. Sometime around 340 AD, the Catholic church divorced everything Jewish in the Synod of Laodicea, and the reformation didn't happen until Martin Luther in 1517 with his 95 theses. He should have had 96 - the Lord's Day. Jesus said He is the Lord of the Sabbath. In light of all the evidence, why do people say Jesus rose from the dead on Sunday? "First day of the week" isn't "próti méra tis evdomádas" (Geek), but "mia sabbaton." The word "evdomádas" in Greek does NOT appear in the word of God. In fact, Young's Literal is more true to the original: "And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths ..." holds true in light of Leviticus 23:15 of "counting seven sabbaths." I am not associated with any denomination - I've been most of them: Catholic, Methodist, Independent Baptist, S. Baptist, non-denom. In the end, I just stick to the word of God and to whom it's speaking. With the Synod of Laodicea excluding everything Jewish and the move from Jesus rising on the seventh day, the move to an 8th day (1st) resurrection, why do Messianic Jews follow the Catholic dogma? In the KJV, "day" is italicized to show it wasn't part of the original text. I'd love to get your perspective on seeing how 1,100 years of Catholic dogma remains in the "Protestant" beliefs. I ask on the premise of Malachi 4:5-6 and Ephesians 2. I hope you read and reply. I don't want dogma; I want the scriptures. Thank you.

I am not a Bible expert and I have no arsenal for debate. I am a believer and a follower of THE WAY - I know that as long as I honor THE FATHER and recognize His Commandment for a day of rest; He doesn't care what day of the week , only that my heart is willing and for HIM. Thank you, bless you

Get the New King James Version of the Bible. It is the closest to original Latin/Greek
BUT more important is “His Word” daily and the Holy Spirit” Ruach haKodesh will guide you to His truth
