1 - Sekiz Milyar (Eight Billion): This interviewee probably referred to the price in old currency and actually meant “Eight Thousand”. With the revaluation of the Turkish Lira in 2005, 6 zeroes have been removed from Turkish Lira, so one present-day lira used to be 1 million liras. Many people who were used to the old system still refer to it often.

My Turkish improved so much thanks to this channel! Thanks! ❤️

That one girl talking about food seems like so much fun!!
Hobilerim: dil öğrenmek, yabancı film izlemek, yemek yapmakta pek iyi olmasam da yemek yapmayı severim. Enstrüman çalma konusunda yetenekli değilim ama müzik dinlemeyi severim, el sanatlarını severim, kedilerle ilgilenmeyi de severim.
Great hobby, I love learning new languages

Kosova'dan merhaba. 🇽🇰🇹🇷
We use "-mak" instead of "-ing" to describe doing something.
For example:
I like shopping. You should use "-mak" here. Alışveriş yapmayı seviyorum.
We use "-yor" to tell that we are doing something at the moment.
Im doing shopping. You should use "-yor" here. Alışveriş yapıyorum.
So it should ve been "hobilerim kitap okumak ve müzik dinlemek"
What you said translates to english perfectly but wrong as grammar in Turkish.
I really hope this helps you. Good luck at learning Turkish.

Kazakça ve Türkçe zaten aynı ırkın dilleri. Tek fark alfabe.

Doğru, belki "go out/hang out" da denebilir
That girl in the thumbnail is just drop dead gorgeous. Also she seems very fun and jovial person to be around.
But alas coming from Indo-European language background I didn't fancy the sound of Turkish.

The background noise hampers listening and understanding. Pity, because the video could really help more than it does as it is.

it really changes nothing actually, since you indicate "bölüm(Ü)-müz-de"
müz=our
de=in this
also "bölümde" means
in this episode
"bölümümüzde" means in our new episode
Bu bölüm = this episode/part. Bölümümüzde = in our episode/part. Bu bölümümüzde = in this episode/part that is ours. For example: bu bölümümüzde güzel sorular sorduk = in this episode that is ours we asked nice questions.
even tho turkish does not have articles, if you want to mention about something specifically then 'bu' is kind of 'the'. so they can use either 'bu bölümde' or 'bu bölümümüzde' because he speaks about 'this' episode. but if they say only 'bölümümüzde' it sounds like ''department'' and as if they belong to a department and speak about that department.

Can somebody tell me what instrument costs 1 billion...😶
She means 1000 dolar actually at that year. Now approx 1000 Dolar = 17.000 TL . But before 2005 turkish lira got 6 more digit, government erased it on papers, actually nothing changed in reality but we get rid of tons of 0000 digits... bilion or milion at daily speeches still continues especially at old generations. i.e my grandpa says ''my salary is 17 bilion '', he actually says ''17 thousand'' 17.000 TL = 1000 dolar but he got used bilion terms before 2005 (the habit of using a certain expression)... Natives understand well but a bit confusing for foreigners.
Hobilerim yemek yemek, yatmak, kore dizileri izlemek, gezmek,
Türk kadınları en güzelidir. Easy Turkish videolara bakılırsa
Animee yess 😂
Zaten her yerde öyle, İngilizce "like" diyorlar, Fransızca "genre" yada "euh" falan filan
benim için Hobilerim okuyorum ve futbol oynuyorum.

I like the idea of these videos but you need to have really good listening comprehension to understand. Turks talking naturally to other Turks is the hardest kind of dialogue to follow. I will come back to these videos when I'm intermediate! Görüşmek üzere.
This host talks super fast, definitely not easy to catch what he's saying. I'm at A2 level and im struggling to understand a lot of this.

It sounds like Arabic and Russian had a baby 😍🤩
@@utku_baloglu Who hurt you big dawg?
@@utku_baloglu I'm confused... All I said was that it sounded like a combination of Arabic and Russian because maybe other people thought the same.
But then you come here and say that it's an insult? I didn't do anything wrong, I was sharing a point of view.
I don't understand why you're coming after me like that. Insulting me by calling me a little kid is childish and doesn't solve the problem.
What ignorance? About what? I'm just simply saying that you aren't being specific and I am clueless as to why you got so heated?
For your information, "big dawg" isn't an insult, it's like saying "bro" or "dude."
@@SevenOh7o never ever mention the word arab they will just get butthurt for no reason its not your fault
@@JaPbinge yeah lol
The funny thing is, the original reply on my comment delete their replies 😂 Goes to show how little they thought about what they said.
Youve probably never heard arabic before lol. Arabic is a language spoken with sounds and words coming from the throat. But Turkish is not like that, dont make sentences like this with this period when Turks were likened to arabs even though they had nothing to do with them, this is racism.
I'm happy to see so many fellow Turks read as one of their hobbies.
The girl studying to become a music teacher is really cute. Buying a carava / trailer to travel the world is a really dumb idea. It's not as fun as those youtubers make it seem and it's also incredibly dangerous. Idk what makes people think you can just travel the world in a trailer like some hippy when countless of such people end up dead. Also reminds me of that American girl with her "van life" channel who was murdered by her boyfriend. They even had a fight before and the poor girl worried her bf would get in trouble took all the blame on herself, which in turn caused all the incels to blame her for her death and tried to argue the BF was innocent even after it became really clear that he had brutally murdered her.
That s a very horrible story.
It s "karavan" tho not "carava".
@@poyrazturgut3615 it's caravan, karavan is the Turkish spelling. But generally it's referred too as a trailer. The missing 'n' was a spelling error
@@godofchaoskhorne5043 i don't like it too but it is really cheap with traveling caravan. I think i will never travel world with caravan but i am watching videos from about my journey , she is turkish and traveling with her spanish boyfriend.
