Man every time an elf speaks in this book, I roll my eyes. Its "you dh’oine, too dumb ", "Us Aen Seidhe, too superior" or "Lara Dorren this, Lara Dorren that ". If i was ciri i would of slap deem.
The scene in the library was really well written considering it was just a sex romp. Anderzej Sapkowski could give erotic novelists a run for their money.
I'm just wondering why they said they would promise to be true to the books, but then basically gave us Witcher fanfiction. It's enjoyable on its own, but the isn't same story as the books at all.
@@maceyscreatorit was most definitely not fanfiction. That would emply that they enjoy the source material. The "writers" and the showrunner of netflix witcher actively disliked the books.
I think the only thing I truly don't like in any of Sapkowski's amazing books is the Nimue narrative, and this is my favorite fantasy series of all time.
@magorzatap.4739 yeah no shit. I've read all the books several times over. I was explaining the main thing I dislike about the saga, which I also said is my favorite book series. So what was the point of your comment?
@wserthmar8908 i have no problem with the Arthurian themes, and characters. I have a problem with how the story feels padded out through the Nimue sections in Lady of the Lake. I think Ciri retelling the whole thing to Galahad is interesting, but now I'm confused. You like the Arthurian setting, but not the connection it has to the witcher world through the conjunction of the spheres? Why? The conjunction of the spheres is literally the reason why the Arthurian setting, the Elves, and most monsters exist on the continent. It's also tied to why a lot of people want to capture Ciri.
This is a witcher book. The world is on the brink of destruction. Ciri is still in the wind. And yet, here we are listening to stories about feasts and other court nonsense. Please tell me it gets back to being a witcher book at some point.
I think it adds a really cool perspective that we don't usually see in novels like these. You might enjoy the Nimue story a bit more after Season of Storms
It's fine when done well. Doing it this late in a series when the last book left us on a cliff and now tries to introduce new characters with it, it's almost enough to skip this book.
Can't tell who I despise more, Ciri or King Joffrey. Maybe I'm better off skipping her parts because she hasn't done or said anything useful since she was introduced
Then what was the point of reading the books? She’s pretty much the most important character after Geralt. You might as well stop and just read the hobbit or something
Please, don’t edit, but make another comment! Happy listening!
Oh no! Ciri is in the most evil place she has ever been, England!
If you said London, then I'd understand.

Well I certainly didn't expect the story to dip into Arthurian legend.
I found it pretty funny though.

Fringilla is the kind of strong woman who creeps me out. Everybody needs love though. Thank God for the Geralts of the world.
The tussle in the library has to be the litteral in all of fantasy genre 😂

'Pon my word! good sir
Thank you for another great book
Thanks for listening
Howwww did they butcher Fringilla's character so badley in the show??
It's Netflix ofc they did
Dude they screwed up everything in that show

Agreed. It confused me jumping between two time lines and annoyed me. Like I care about Nimue
Author plays with time and idea of legends. Like he played with time inTower of Swollow.

I actually like Arthurian setting, I’m not a fan of multiverse/sphere stuff in general

@@hachi5362 Nah, the writing is mid af. Ciri is annoying, Geralt is a simp, Yennfer is a c*nt. I've seen better plots in pornos.
