@@calatoriprinromania I visited RO many years ago with the purpose of hiking the Carpatians, in the Bucei region. The guidance I was given by a Romanian that had hiked that region was that I could hike that mountain for as long as I wanted. The purpose was to hike 3-4 day. I was told I did not need to bring food or sleeping gear or tent because I could stay in cabins located through the mountains. Well, I reached the tower and when I wanted to start my hike, none of the trails were marked. It was impossible to know where to go. Besides a strong storm started and I was not prepared for that either! I came down to Sinaia and next day I searched for maps or books that could help me with hike, but nothing. I was later told that the current government does not care a bit about the trails or tourism, and that everything changed once the communism ended.
Oh Wow! How many years ago did that happen? It's strange because nowadays Bucegi has the most common trails în Romania, so they're very well marked. We do have a lot of things to do when talking about turism, but there are a lot of trails that are very well marked, especially în Bucegi. I think that more than 60% of all hikers come here, even though there are a lot of other wonderful places to visit în this country. If you ever come back, you should download this app Muntii Nostri. You'll find it in Google Store. It's free to use, you won't get lost using it and it shows you where you are even if you don't have phone signal. It also shows you the trail marks. Too bad that you left this country with an unpleasant experience!

Se pare ca ar fi un bârlog acolo, cineva a postat o poza ieri, pe un grup de munte, fix din locul în care l-am auzit aici. Doar ca acel om l-a și văzut. A fost mai "privilegiat" 😂
