Welcomed back. In addition this episode actually was a very first one they filmed after the two movie pilots but the producers or studio heads murder by the book stronger episode so they aired it first
That's what's so great about Columbo... this episode is an absolute classic and yet there are still episodes just as strong, if not stronger. Most shows would give their right arm for even 1 classic episode, and Columbo has 2 right out of the gate.
First off to Brad: Glad to see you got through that awful time, and that you made it out okay. Now, this episode is one of my favs indeed, as Robert Culp was just great to work against Falk, as they were able to have some great chemistry together. Funny to have seen him on TV for so many years, from I Spy to the Greatest American Hero and everything in between and beyond. That was something about the show itself, as they had a diverse and great cast of character actors that could chew the scenery, but made it’ll work so well. Great to see you all putting out more content and can’t wait for the next episode. Excelsior!
@@TheNerdsofComedyatthePush Looking forward to whatever you review next. One thing I do miss in the reruns was that Sunday movie mystery theme by Henry Mancini, that's one thing for me that made it work so well and made me look forward to those Sunday nights shows. Have a good one!
Death Lends a Hand is one of my favorite Columbo episodes. An accidental death ,which was very unfortunate ,and Columbo uncovers the truth like peeling an onion"The victim was having an affair, and everything goes from there.
Just going to remark early before I see all the video. The reason why I feel that Columbo investigating and bringing the detective to justice is because Robert Culp's character tried to cover it up. Also, he probably was blackmailing others the way he tried to blackmail the woman.
He blackmail did come easy to Culp's character. It makes you wonder who else, in 1970s Los Angeles, he had under his thumb. And what he was asking of them.
Great video and a great episode of Columbo. I remember really enjoying all of the glasses shot in this episode when I watched it. Also, don't know if it was a typo or not, but dig the deathlandsahand hashtag. A+ wordplay.
Thanks. I’m a huge Columbo fan. And also your story. What a thing to happen , and this title sums this video up. Good luck with your channel. And just one more thing… You have an avid watcher here now. 👍
I"ll tell you something ... whoever swung the golf club in this episode swung it like Ben Hogan. Stunt man/body double. Later in the series Columbo says he doesn't play golf. There are tons of little things like that in the series. It works.
Jack Cassidy id hands down the best villain followed by Patrick McGowan, Richard Kiley, Then Ribert Culp. In 2 of th le classic 3 he is the same guy angry and screaming at people.
Great personal story and a great episode of Columbo. And how often do we get to watch a clickbait titled video that isn't clickbait :)
Thank you!!
You guys are awesome!
Thanks!!!!

We're huge Culp fans. He just so smooth no matter what he does.

“That’s the woman in the airplane one?”
A couple of real Columbo experts here.
not my favorite episode. it doesn't help that it's sandwiched in between to great episodes.

It was a typo. But we love it, so we're keeping it.

Thanks for watching. We really appreciate it. It's great knowing there are other Columbo fans out there.
Good rap session on the series. Bravo! That one episode "No Time to Die" is the only one with no murder.
You, dude on the left, you are the Smoke and Mirrors dude. I can't be wrong.

Columbo was great at bending the truth to fit his needs and who he was interrogating.
@@TheNerdsofComedyatthePush What I'm getting at is if that was Falk swinging the club, which it certainly seems to be, he was an skilled golfer.

i think Adam saved your life, not Columbo. He planted that seed with that episode that you couldn't let go.
He's our guardian angel.
👋😂 😜 🔥. 😇😇
It was manslaughter and nonetheless.
🌈🙋😇👁️
No episode is worse than Last Salute to the Commador. Of the classic episodes i don't watch the latter ones.
Death lends a hand, is good but. not as good as Crucial Game or Double Exposure.
