Wow boomer esiason, ki-jana carter and Corey Dillon all on the same field! Seems like some sort of weird time loop with 3 different eras phased together...

I was 15. I remember my football team going to this game and we got to warm up with some of the players. Tony Mcgee was super cool he ran routes with me and got some playes to sign autographs for us. I do remember the feeling in cincy that is Dillion started game 1 and Boomer starting earlier that we could've challenged Denver

I listened to this game off local radio and Dillon and Boomer had a great night. The Titans were just flat after Dallas but wearing down from a long year going from Houston to hardly any fans or support in Memphis.

I was at the game and it was electric for sure. If Corey Dillon didn't have such a great night many would have been talking about Boomer's amazing night as well because he was killing it.

Boomer would have taken them to at least the Divisional Round. Coslet screwed up letting Jeff Blake start.

My all-time favorite Bengals game. Boomer picking them apart, Corey Dillon setting the record, Gunnar waiting in the tunnel. The great Willie Anderson. I had 50 yard line seats in the blue section.

Dillon had the misfortune of being drafted by a terrible Bengal team. He faced 9 men in the box and still rushed for 1300-1500 Yds per season. He had the greatest rushing performance of all time gaining 279 yds vs Denver on just 21 carries. Once he left the bengals he was instrumental in them winning another super bowl. He has over 11,000 career rushing yards. Only 2000 behind Bettis despite playing 4 years less.

In just a 3-year span the Oilers/Titans went from playing football in Houston, Memphis, Vanderbilt in Nashville, then finally the new diggs in '99 so this was the one team in modern NFL history that's been through the most shit in a 3-year span of not having a real home.

It seems to be a forgotten time yeah. As a Bengals fan it has been so hard to find video or any kind of commentary on it. Boomer came back mid season and it was an incredible change of attitude for Cincinnati. It really sucks that he didn't play one more season and instead went to CBS. I've heard him mention a few times, especially during the time Manning was playing into his late late 30s, that he had a little regret not doing one final full season with the Bengals. The games he did play for Cincinnati, he looked like he had something left in the tank.
