It worked for homeskool because it subverted expectations and it was something unexpected. Febou always putting on the tough guy act and he's like twice the dude's size? Hella gas this battle. Home won, imo. Shout out to both emcees though, they did what they were known for and I can't be mad at that.

I had Febou winning a very competitive battle 2-1 with Home taking the third.
It was obviously a debatable battle. The judges gave it to Febou and some fans are giving it to Home. For people to say it was “clear” for Home or a “robbery” is ridiculous.
I kept thinking Home would take a round but then Febou delivered equally targeted rounds with more passion. Home brought more passion to the third while Fee seemed to run out of fuel.
These comments are interesting. Home’s biggest moment ever was a huge bump against Ace. Febou bumps him and people get all up in arms. The bump would have just been a battle rap bump were it not for Home grabbing him too, which resulted in an additional shove. I agree that touching an opponent in general is wack but I can’t criticize Febou while Home has been celebrated for that sort of thing before. And at this point, Home has to eat those moments.
And while a battle rap bump has become somewhat of a running gag in this world, talking through rounds is still considered a no-go in all battles. Home trying to rebuttal conversationally in the middle of Febou’s rounds was cringeworthy and unsportsmanlike. He admitted this in one of the comments too, saying it might have been his frustration over the choke that caused this. It was a bad look. And because of that, you can’t be in the comments hating Febou for being a poor sport while celebrating Home as if he was a respectful opponent here.
All of this is interesting but don’t let it distract you from the fact that this was a great and debatable battle for this league.

There's no need to blame iBattle as a whole. I let Febou pick the judges. That was MY choice, not his or iBattle's. It was risky and I feel like it ultimately paid off in my favor, but it was all fair.
All the judges said 2-1 and had reasonable explanations. I don't feel like I lost either, but I was not "robbed."
There was also never a discussion of time limits at all, so that can't really be factored.
@@homeskoolmc1852 If you want to last in battle rap, you've gotta tighten up your performance a bit. Even though you out wrote Febou, he out performed you and his material hit harder. That's why the judges had him winning. For most of the battle, you struggled to land any haymakers because the performance and delivery weren't there.
And lastly, STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. If someone is getting too close for comfort, don't be afraid to check them on that. You might say "oh, it's just battle rap" or "it's all in good fun" but that is obviously not the case during this battle. Getting shoved like that clearly got you in your feelings and your demeanor becomes passive aggressive for the remainder of the battle. If you don't like that, don't tolerate it.
That's the end of my little rant. I look forward to seeing your improvement for your next battle.

@@BattleRapBumfactual. This one ended up being my 4th watch, 1 PPV, 1 vod and 2 on UA-cam.
I initially had it debatable after the PPV, then I had Skool 2-1 after the vod. Still have Skool 2-1, but clearly would have been a 30 without the choke, he was winning the first by a wider margin than he got the 3rd imo.

I got Febou winning in a very competitive battle. Probably one of the best of the year for iBattle. Anybody giving Skool the 1st round when he admittedly choked is odd, but hey thats your prerogative. And I personally liked the aggression on both sides, it added to the competitive energy. Slighting Febou for being "fake tough" but being ok with Homeskool talking through his rounds...is also odd.
