- The Linux driver model was created over a decade ago with the goal of unifying all hardware drivers in the kernel in a way to provide both consitant device naming and properly power management control. This talk will go into how well those goals were reached, how the model works today, and what remains to be done.

thanks god otherwise it is going to be a zoo, Kernel is not like some webapp, it should be a master piece.
I think ldd3 still mostly valid most of the api work as expected and even if it change it is easy to adapt. I guess because those are the core and rarely change anyway !!
And they are still wondering why they have a problem getting new kernel developers.
