I used an Eldar Wraithlord as my base model for my Slaanesh Daemon Prince. I used green stuff to wrap its arms. legs , body, head and weapons in tendrils and tentacles to make it look like a Demon Prince had defeated & possessed the Wraithlord. It also felt like a fitting model to me due to the lore between the two factions.
Getting Christophe to design a logo for you is a whole new level of awesome, almost matching that of the paint scheme you got going on here. Awesome work!!!
@@MidwinterMinis I really hope you will make another video with your home-made Gold, that looked better than 99% of all Gold colours from the marked I have seen
Every time you post a video I hope it's start collecting deathmatch, but building up the hype with a video on how to paint these beautiful models is the next best thing!
This color palette goes well with my colour-blindness, there is no contrast between the hair and demons for me. But the cute dinos with their colourful backs have a lot of contrast :)
@@wolfyboy It's called the "Let me do it for you" meme. A bit of history if you want: It seems that it originated as a parody to the song "Cellophane" by FKA Twigs. Someone sang some of the lyrics in the voice of Miss Piggy as a voicemail. That sound bit then got coupled with the backing piano from the original song. And then somehow a Borzoi dog got mixed into the meme and now we're here :D
I used one of the remaining riders on a chaos possessed marine conversion: the daemonette sits on his shoulders as he charges into battle, claws raised, cheering for him. What a supportive girl(?)friend!
There is simply not enough Slaanesh painting content out there, and this color scheme really brings the grotesque excess of the army to life--thank you so much for making this!!!
Please make more Tyranid kitbashes! I’ve always loved that style of characters, and whenever people kitbash Tyranids on UA-cam, they almost always come out looking fantastic.
The colours are so wonderfully vibrant! I just love it! Also did you really expect to bring an army of she-who-thirsts into life, without a little bit of torture for trying to be perfect?
I haven’t bought or painted any miniatures for about 35 years but I love watching your vids. Maybe i’ll give it another shot some day, not that i have a clue where to begin these days!
I love guys painting vids cause he absolutely isn’t perfect and at times not efficient even. But he just seems to love it which got me to start painting.
If you have any Sisters of Battle bits lying around you can incorperate those into the HQ unit. I have a chaos sisters of battle army that is all kitbashed with slaanesh and you can do some really cool stuff by combining those together.
Whenever I did buckles on a figure, I went in with a 5/0 brush and stippled it in. I wish my had was this steady to get into the the fine details like you do
Hey! Your videos inspired me to get into warhammer and i just ordered the recruit edition with space marines and necrons and i have zero experience painting and i have built some models, but i was just wondering what glue and paints i should use? Again huge fan and i love your content!
For glue I always use extra thin plastic cement (any will work it doesn't have to be tamiya) and for paints the best mix of price and quality is probably vallejo but it can be hard to find, the next best thing would probably be army painter because it's a bit easier to find, but i wouldn't use games workshop paints because the names don't tell you what colours they are sometimes and the price is too high for the low amount of paint in each pot
Really loving this demons! I started a few months ago with a combat patrol Sisters of Battle and have this still in the box, a bit intimidating with the complex shapes and forms, but yhea I will assemble them after painting!
That's really cool. I wish i had that kind of painting skill and knowledge. Great work. I was planning on picking up a Army for Slaanesh but I work so much it's hard to find time to paint and do everything. I need to find someone I can commission to do that for me. Keep up the good work. I will most likely be coming back to this video when I get around to buying my Slaanesh army.
My idea for what you should do for the kit bash is make your own infernal enrapturess but instead of the flesh harp is some other massive instrument or maybe a metal guitar
taking this video as a recommendation list of most obnoxious neon paints i must procure immediately~! and also grey knights steel, i heckin love grey knights steel
I think the Avalenor model from AoS would be an interesting basis for a daemon prince of slaanesh conversion, just change the head, shoulders and end of the hammer for something more chaosy. I am sure you will get a lot of suggestions to use Morathi for that conversion but thats a cop-out. everyone and their nan has seen that conversion.
Absolutely get yourself a Daemon Prince and a squad of Cultists to go with. Probably use any excess Dark Eldar, Battle Sisters, or Escher bodies to pad out the remainder.
These are gorgeous 😊 An idea though - glossy varnish over the eyes could look nice. After all, eyes aren't matte, they're moist, and gloss imitates the effect nicely
When the Death Matches began I was 100% convinced who would win what battle. Now I am less sure as new codexes has appeared and new models in general. Looking forward to what the future hold
I have to admit I think the broken chariot parts add to the grimdarkness. Nothing can ever look fresh and newly made in the GRIM DARKNESS of the 41st millenium.
Those bases were so simple yet they work really well. Well done! For the kitbashing bits, it would be cool to see your take on Fulgrim. You might need quite a lot more bits than the few left over from this tho. The Morathi khaine model has a good snake body to use as a base.
I assembled the chariot before painting it as well. RIP. I also made a daemon prince out of the bits! I smashed together a bunch of limbs and added in some adeptas sororitas btis too.
A serious, serious shake and thinned with a little water, 2 thin coats should do it! As I showed though, it is a bit hydrophobic, but the drybrush mix with Squid Pink settled it down a bit.
I've been thinking of how I would base my Tzeentch daemons, and considered color shifting paints. Glad to see them in action. I might just try this. (Honestly, fleshy bases like what you did on Tzeentch seem like more of a Slaanesh thing, in retrospect. Like the ground of a Slaanesh-dominated Demon World.) On another note, it's funny how Slaanesh Daemons still have their Start Collecting box for sale. Still in time for the Start Collecting Death Match, even after all these years. Slaanesh will not be denied.
