Nicole, I'd just say that this fellow is imperfectly perfect! I love the colours that you've used, and don't even mind the imperfections. Thank you for another great video.
The Elephant head is stunning. I was thinking, maybe you could get a thin wooden board, that you could place your molds on, before commencing a project. That way, you could place a silicone mat on top of the board. Then you should be able to move your board with the filled mold and it will be on a firm surface and you won’t need to lift the mold up, to put it away. No more spillage. Hope this helps. Your Elephant head, looks amazing, Nicole ♥️💐💐
Hi Nicole. I am doing well, thanks. I hope you are too. I agree about the resin, I've done it too. I forget that molds are floppy when you pick them up. I need to remember that just because they lay flat doesn't mean they pick up flat. Too bad I have a lousy memory.😅 I do use the plastic tray from the dbl light if I'm going to use it, and that helps. I'll just buy new trays for when I mess one up
Nicole Girl you are determined to wear resin aren't you?....LOL! Yes I have tinted my pigment paste and mica's with inks as well, I love the sheen that it gives mica's, its really pretty to me. Mr Elephant is pretty!! -Beverly
Thank you so much Beverly 🥰❤️🥰 you’d think that it’s my plan. I was getting so irritated I spilled it like 3 times trying to move it and then while trying to clean the mess. It was a disaster. I’m honestly surprised it turned out as well as it did
I think it looks great. ❤❤ x I bought a cheap chopping board. If I have to move anything after it's been poured, I can more often than not slide it on to the board and move it without incident. I learnt the hard way as well 😂
Something I saw another youtuber do that might help you is to use a wide spatula or even possibly a metal pizza peel to move projects to the drying rack. I think I saw this on Glitz n Glitter but I'm not 100%. I know I am a walking accident so I just don't move my projects....lol
I have metal ones that you would cool cookies on that I mostly use but they have a little lip on them and this time it was just too full and I guess I just couldn’t keep it level when I was moving it and then it just went downhill from there lol
@@TheBlueElephantGifts we live & learn (or not) 😂. I have a cheap plastic tray that I use to take my UV resin pieces outside on when it's sunny. I would be spilling everything I made if I tried moving it so just leave it on a levelling table. Not great when it's in my kitchen through as my craft room is a nightmare and needs clearing out as I do different crafts as well as resin
Oh, this is beautiful! My daughter loves elephants, also. Great job! 🐘👏🏻🩶. P. S. I got some elephant cookie cutters and made inlay from them. Don’t know yet what I’ll do with them…..😊
@@TheBlueElephantGifts overall shape, which is what I preferred. There were 4 in the set, graduating sizes, from Amazon. 😊. But it was sort of a pain. I poured a thin layer of silicone rubber in a small cookie sheet I got from Walmart (about 5x7). Then when it was cured I cut around it (on a cutting mat) with a sharp exacto knife. Then trimmed the rough edges with a pair of cuticle scissors.
You could make coasters out of them and instead of using chameleon powders like everyone else does fill them with glitter or maybe some really cool design with alcohol inks or something like that
Such a beautiful elephant. Love the outcome even with the mishap.. Just my 1 cent
Thank you so much 🥰❤️🥰

Oh he is just so sweet. Glad you remembered to try ink in with mica, I've always found it works better then 2 mica's together. :)

I usually put my molds on a canvas board so I can move it easily. I think it came out great!
@TheBlueElephantGifts yes it came out really great!😍
That’s smart Cindy maybe I’ll get one and try that. It’s got to be better than what I am using now
@@TheBlueElephantGifts another suggestion is a cookie sheet from the Dollar Tree

🤣I know that no matter how hard I try to be neat and not spill resin everywhere it still happens
Still turned out beautiful, do you have a tray you could put your moulds on before pouring ? would be easier to move them afterwards
