The timeless romanticism and elegance of Lawrence, Pawel, Pantha Du Prince & Dial label in general is just one of the best things that ever happened to (electronic) music in the 2000s. Last Friday sounds like an ode to frailty, a proof that lo-fi sounding reveals the deepest beauty of things. I love how the sound is treated in a dusty way, how the melody is created in a warm and naive manner. A bit like the smile on our face when we find a treasure from the past in the corner of the attic. We could present this track in a few years to our new generations and say "Listen, this is what we used to do with our computers, it is what beauty was like before HD's era." One of my favourite Lawrence's track.
