So good to meet you in person, Chris! Our game was a blast. After the game, I told people that you have a great attitude and know how to hype up your partner. Now I know it was all the Red Bull 😂
Chris has maxed out the speed his serve can travel just using his arm and absolutely no hip rotation, step through, or proper mechanics of any kind. Quite impressive.
I agree with you about how great a guy CJ is. Met he and his dad at club in Mesa. Sat and watched CJ drill endlessly and chatted briefly with dad. I love this sport in how casual the stars are and how close we can get to world class athletes. Hope that never changes. Btw - refreshing to see you laugh at yourself. We should all practice it more. 😊
Chris, I have two Proton paddles currently Series 2, Series 3. I originally used the series 3 for league play where but switch to the series 2 when I wanted more of a finesse game. All dependent on who or what type of team I play against that day. I'm currently renting a series 1 A "square shape" from a local shop and really like this paddle. This paddle gives me everything, sweet spot, control, power, frickin crazy color scheme ;). Side bar here just practicing with my wife on Saturday I let her use this paddle as I wanted to swing another brand just to feel the difference and she loved it for what it did for her game. To quote her, "it's an all-around solid paddle for what i want and need." Which paddles were you guys using at the event? I saw Travis had a new Series 3 in Raspberry color for a lot of his action. I would love to get my hands on a series 1 B 11mm just to try out as well.
I salute you 👊for displaying such a bountiful harvest of low hanging🍇🍊🍋🍎for criticism. Lots of armchair 5.0's will jump at the chance to inform you that you suck. Good balls or bad, nobody can say you don't have any.
Proton paddles are one of the controversial paddles. What are your thoughts Chris? Are you able/allowed to say? Also how was it playing with Dragon when you have ripped on the hype guys, Lol. Great show.
lol I’m allowed to say whatever I want - I think it’s the best paddle out there. The series 1 is the only paddle you can play with for months at a time and it doesn’t degrade. Nothing worse than having to buy a new paddle cause the grit smooths out or core gets delaminated. The only issue is that 1. The series 1 needs to be “broken in” and can take a while for that 2. they are never in stock (cause it’s in high demand) As someone that doesn’t want to buy a new paddle every few months I’m so glad something like this exists As for the hype guys, they were actually super cool and I think the ppa forced them to be cornballs. I enjoyed hanging with them and hope they get to do something similar but with less restrictions / guidance from big pickle

I always play with the square series 1 B 15 mm
That’s awesome you found a place to rent one - rare find lol
@@sorrynotsorrypickleball is the difference between the A and B that noticeable? If you've used an A.

I can't even purchase a proton paddle. Been sold out for two months.
Pretty sure they’re gonna be in stock soon
