    I did ISC extended top hats on my FCM Bilsteins. For the spring isolators, I found that Gorilla Glue works very well. It's what FCM appear to use on their 2.5" spring isolators that they add to the NB top hats.

    I like this idea, well done! I too hate the idea of someone else picking out my spring rates. Maybe I want to determine my own front roll couple...why is that a crime? That looks like the sleeves recommended on the miata turbo forum. Your spring rates seem well researched. I want to see a review to hear your thoughts after a few miles. Should be very informative. Great work!

I wanna buy new ones just to be safe but will they work fine? great video btw, exactly what I was looking for. how d they drive on your car over stock?

    Great video Justin! - the coil bind issue and solution is something not talked about on the forums. btw - re-valved or stock Sport or HD bilsteins? pretty high rates for no re-valve if so. how is the ride? thanks.

      Stock Bilsteins with no revalve. Definitely the stiffest you'd want to go on stock shocks. It actually rides really well. It's my daily driver. I love it.

    • @batman3698
      @batman3698 4 роки тому

      It's cheaper, not better. This is a pretty basic design where the ride height and preload is adjusted on the same collar. He won't be able to lower it much without running into unseated spring issues because the spring isn't progressive.

    What if you hit a corner and those springs come unseated?

    • @batman3698

      They won't because there is a preload on the springs. The longest shock travel length doesn't allow the spring to unseat.

      thanks man. I'll look used! I priced it and it was looking expensive lol. new Billies $400 from tire rack. sleeves from advanced $150, but I can get some eBay sleeves for $60 and cut them to 4". springs were $45-50 a pop for qa1s. where do u buy springs? i saw suspension spring specialists for $44 and some hyperlinks for $50. and top hats were $220 from garage star but they make awesome shit. isc is out of business I guess.any other top hat options? I'm excited. thanks man!
