Poison. It can be diluted or altered to become something beneficial or it can just straight up kill you. And in the world of Pokemon, there are plenty of examples of those looking to help or hurt with their toxins. From using their poison to help soothe those around them to some Pokemon using their poisons to harming plant life, as well as other Pokemon and people. Today we are going to be taking a look at these Poison Pokemon types and see where they fall on our spectrum.

I never knew the Vileplume line would sink so low. Psychic type Pokémon, good to evil.
Nihilego I would debate being evil. It doesn't think or have intent. Or if it does it's very alien. Its stated it has a demeanor much like a little girl which can imply playfulness or curiosity. And in the game nihiligo didnt attach to the villain until she started to get really emotional and freak out. Until that point she was just chilling with a bunch of them and they were relaxed and non hostile. It may have been trying to protect her by attaching to her. We genuinely don't know its intent
Also a lot of the brutal methods of prey catching and eating you pointed out are lifted directly from the real world. A lot of animals eat prey while they're still alive. If they do it exclusively for survival and not out of malice I would call them neutral. Not evil.
Muck line, toxtricity line, veenasaur line, and garbador line along with wheezing line, Galarian wheezing, alolan muck line, arbok line, skunktank line and gengar line are based on trash, smoke, snakes, skunks and punks.
If Sneasler sometimes helps people, why isn't it at least in the grey area?

I didn't know that Nidoking can be that aggressive
I know individuals were barred from analysis, but Ash’s Muk is an interesting case. In its introductory episode it was rather aggressive, attacking the power plant, but by the time we see it again at (I believe it was) the Indigo League, it’s much friendlier, and from then on is always genuinely happy to see Ash and Oak.

Poison types are so versatile and underrated
The problem is that its just not a great type, but still you right
I like some poison types like the female Nidoran, Arbok, Nidoqueen, Nidorina and Gengar and I like Venomoth too. And I love Venusaur, Roserade, Roselia, Vileplume and Bulbasaur.
I used to really hate them but using Pokémon like Crobat, Drapion, Gliscor and Toxicroak really turned me around then Along came the GOAT Alolan Muk and one of my current favorites Toxtricity.

Yes, and electric types are overrated
It should be noted Venusaur protects forested regions. And Dragalge is still good.
Eternatus gets the Wrath medal for the same reason it gets Gold. That thing is in a never ending rage. Also, Nihilego gets the Envy medal.

I can't remember what game it was but i do remember something about roserade having two different types of poison stored in its arms. One is a fast working poison and the other is very slow and painful. It makes total sense why they're ranked so low on the spectrum.
