This is my favorite episode of the Boondocks. Best part - the VA of the dealer is Mark Hamill, thus the Skywalker reference! 😂
The bongo scene is great because if you pay attention, the headband color changes and it’s a reference to something Matthew McConaughey actually experienced in college.
You know a lot about this stuff, what was the thing that happened to McConaughey?
I highly recommend reading the story in his own words. It’s so worth the laugh! Here’s the basic rundown -
McConaughey was listening to some music with one of his college friends while smoking and he played the bongos so loudly that their neighbor called the cops for a noise complaint. The cops showed up and McConaughey was cuffed. He had planned to do a backflip to get out of the cuffs but because his coordination wasn’t that great (for obvious reasons), it ended up not working and he was charged for obstruction and disturbance of the peace.
I'm with granddad on this. I have stress, too. And people that tell you you need to reduce your stress just stresses you out because some dumbass is trying to tell you it's so simple. 🤣

I have a high tolerance so my first time was weak as shit. My second time though...
I was hanging out with a friend that was used to it. I was talking to him and after I smoked it and was high, without knowing it I blacked out and what seemed like 5 minutes in a conversation turned into 20 minutes and apparently I started talking about colors and shit. Every time after that I've been completely aware of my surroundings.
My first time was like this. Lol
My mom freaked out. When she first tried.😂 It was hilarious. Even the E.R people laughed. (Yes we took her to the E.R. because we didn't know how to deal with her. So, they gave her a sedative to calm her down)

If alcohol and tobacco is bad for us but legal (and incidentally highly taxed), tax legalized marijuana and reap the benefits. Put the money into our National health service to treat chronic diseases and retain experienced healthcare professionals.

Man, Mississippi just started opening dispensaries, but because I work in healthcare, I still can't get toasted! 😭 But yeah, the only reason weed was made illegal in the first place is a great big heaping helping of racism, because gods forbid anyone who isn't whiter than a paper plate in a snowstorm have any fun.

Gotta remember when this episode came out, it took many states, including Missouri, several years to legalize marijuana, back then only like California and I think Colorado legalized it at the time. Idk it's been a long time

I don't have any problems with weed and agree it should be legal but my first time trying it was terrifying! I was having the worst anxiety, panic attacks, and paranoia I've ever experienced! My heart rate was so high I had to be taken to the ER because it was at stroke level and the doctor was legitimately worried about me going into cardiac arrest. They had to give me some kind of sedative medicine through an IV to help stop the severe reactions i was having. I remember him saying he's seen this before but this was probably the worst reaction he's ever seen from a patient. I was in the cardiac unit of the hospital for 3 days all because of some damn weed! Never tried it again and no plans of possibly reliving that terrible experience!

I love that i was born in a time where you can buy a 7gram THC vape at most gas stations and it's totally legal. A shame the natural version is still illegal.

here in peru weed isnt legal but you can have up to 7 grams without getting in trouble.
